CARD WITH SECURITY IN THE MIDDLE
A method of processing sheet stock in the creation of plastic cards, such as gift cards or credit cards that include special effects and/or security measures. A card formed by such methods is also disclosed. The method provides for two or more dissimilar materials to be bonded together while maintaining the integrity of the card and as any graphics, security features, and/or special effects provided thereon. Thermoset and thermobond adhesive layers are placed between a first material layer and a second material layer of the sheet stock. The thermoset and thermobond adhesive layers allow the first and second material layers to move independently and to expand and contract at different rates relative to each other. The adhesive layers enable the sheet stock to be rolled up for shipping or storage and further enable the end product produced therefrom to have a planar profile.
Systems and methods for transferring a gift using an information storage and communication system
Systems and methods for using an information wallet system to deliver a gift and receive, redeem, or re-gift the gift are disclosed. The information wallet system's storage is securely maintained by a financial institution computing system (i.e. a bank) and receives and holds purchase transaction information. Purchase information transaction may be received from a user computing device or an entity computing system, such as a merchant computing system. In one embodiment, a user may purchase a gift through an online website or at a brick and mortar location and direct the gift to be deposited into the information wallet storage of a recipient. A recipient may then continue to hold the gift, redeem the gift, or re-gift the gift to another party.
Method of laminating multi layer structure together in a roll-to-roll process to make a pre-lamination that may be used in the making of credit and gift cards and mirror image variations thereof
The invention provides a free flowing copolymer between disparate plastic layers to thermally balance between the two differently expanding/contracting materials. The primer layer or thermal balance layer fully encapsulates the PET layer and can absorb the difference between the internal PET layer with any layer bonded to the encapsulated PET without cracking, bending or pitting and can reset into position when the heating/cooling has ended to make planar plastic core sheets for products such as credit cards, gift cards and the like.

APPRECIATION CARD WITH HIDDEN GIFT CARD SLOT
An appreciation card including a front panel having a window formed therein that is located between the left side and the right side of the front panel and being defined by a window border. A gift card panel is disposed on the back face of the front panel below the window border. The gift card panel includes a pocket section and an attachment tab, the pocket section being connected to the window border on a first end and to the attachment tab at an opposing second end, the attachment tab being adhered to the back face of the front panel, and the pocket section being free from the back face of the front panel. The front panel and the gift card panel define a gift card slot into which a gift card may be inserted.

SECURITY-ENHANCED INSTANT TICKETS VIA HOMOGENEOUS UTILIZATION OF TICKET BACKING AND VARIABLE INDICIA INKS OR DYES
A security-enhanced document includes a substrate and variable indicia comprising ink having a signal. The variable indicia is of a specific type and is applied to the substrate using a specific application technique. At least one other printed portion, which is a back of the document, has background ink noise, and the type of ink of the back of the document is of the same type of ink applied to the substrate using the same application technique as the ink of the variable indicia. The document also includes a scratch-off-coating applied over the variable indicia. The document has a signal-to-noise ratio of the ink of the variable indicia relative to the background ink noise of the back of the document that is not appreciable, thereby making the variable indicia unreadable with reference to the back of the document when the scratch-off-coating remains intact.
Gift Card Presenter for Greeting Cards
A gift card presenter for holding a gift card within a greeting card is provided. The presenter comprises a body for holding the gift card, and a coupling element for coupling the body to the greeting card. In one embodiment, the presenter may comprise a paper mechanic coupled to first and second interior faces of the greeting card, the paper mechanic configured to hold the greeting card and display it when the greeting card is opened. In another embodiment, the presenter comprises a body for holding the gift card, the body having a first half and a second half that each include interior and exterior faces. The presenter may be opened to display or partially display the greeting card. The presenter may be coupled to the inside and/or the outside of the greeting card, to provide a pleasing presentation of the gift card given with the greeting card.
Pull-Apart Gift Card Holder
A gift card holder which is a single unit having a gift card retainer for holding a gift card therein and an outer body containing two separate pieces which are slidably engaged with the gift card retainer. The two portions of the outer body of the gift card holder can be in a first position wherein they are flush with each other along at least one edge and wherein the gift card retainer is concealed therein. The two portions of the outer body of the gift card holder can move from the first position to a second position wherein the two portions are pulled in opposing directions away from each other, thereby revealing the gift card retainer (and gift card contained therein).
