VOLUME HOLOGRAM SHEET TO BE EMBEDDED, FORGERY PREVENTION PAPER, AND CARD

An object of the present invention is to provide a thin volume hologram sheet to be embedded sufficiently resistant to a mechanical stress such as a stress including a tensile stress, a shear stress and a compression stress at the time of processing even under a heating condition, a forgery prevention paper and a card using the same. The object is achieved by providing a volume hologram sheet to be embedded comprising a volume hologram layer, and a substrate disposed only on one side surface of the volume hologram layer using an adhesion means, wherein a peeling strength of the volume hologram layer and the substrate is 25 gf/25 mm or more.

A card manufacturing system includes a locating device and a separation device. A laminate sheet comprising a plurality of cards is received by the locating device and is imaged using first and second imaging modalities. The first imaging modality identifies a location of each of the plurality of information carrying cards within the laminate sheet and the second imaging modality images at least one graphic formed on a surface of the laminate sheet. A position of the at least one graphic with respect to at least one information carrying card is determined and the plurality of cards are removed from the laminate sheet using information corresponding to the location of each of the plurality of information carrying cards when the position of the at least one graphic with respect to the information carrying cards is within a predetermined range.

A transaction card includes an anodized card body having a front and rear face. Various information and security features may be provided on the front face and on the rear face. A magnetic stripe may be provided on the rear face of the anodized card body. The magnetic stripe may be adhered within a slot formed within the rear face of the anodized body. Alternatively, the magnetic stripe may be provided via an overlay that is adhered to the rear face of the anodized body, and the magnetic stripe may be integral with the overlay or adhered to the overlay after the overlay is applied to the anodized card body. The transaction card may also include a hologram. The hologram may be integral with the overlay or may be applied to the overlay that has been arranged on the anodized card body.

Cards with non-visible production indicia and related systems

An improved data bearing card includes a card body, personalization data unique to the data bearing card, and non-visible production indicia, separate from the personalization data, disposed on the card body and indicative of production-related information not otherwise provided on the data bearing card. The non-visible production indicia may be indicative of a corresponding piece of production equipment and/or an operator thereof utilized in connection with the data bearing card, or of a location of a corresponding region of a sheet assembly from which the corresponding card body was separated during production, or of other production-related information. The non-visible production indicia facilitates remedial action in the event that a defect or near-defect is found in the card body or other components of the data bearing card, and may otherwise facilitate card tracking during the production process.
