Method of providing an imprinted security feature
Disclosed is a method of forming a security document including the steps of: providing a base layer having a top side; providing a color image onto an image area of the top side by printing colored ink, on the top. A lens structure is applied over the colored ink, the lens structure having a predetermined focal plane situated at a distance from the top side, and laser engraving a black image in through the lens structure and through the colored ink to form blackened image elements substantially at or near the focal plane.

Method for the surface application of a security device over a paper machine made hole
A sheet material having a security device applied over a paper machine made or soft-edged through-hole and a method for preparing such a sheet material is provided. The through-hole(s) is formed in a forming fibrous web before it becomes sufficiently consolidated and then the security device is applied onto the fibrous web and preferably over the through-hole(s) at or near a couch roll or similar tool of a paper machine when the fibrous web constitutes a sufficiently consolidated, fully formed wet web. Moreover, papers made in accordance with the inventive method, when subjected to the Circulation Simulation Test, showed minimal damage at the paper/security device interface. Further, the surface-applied security devices showed acceptable levels of intaglio ink adhesion, and the papers had higher cross-direction (CD) tensile strength and much less show-through on opposing sides thereof.

PRODUCING AN OPTICAL SECURITY ELEMENT
The present invention is directed to a method for supplying an optical security element in a value document, as well as to an accordingly devised apparatus for adjusting an optical security element as well as to the value document per se. According to the invention a method is proposed which makes it possible to supply a known optical security element in an especially simple technical way, without a vapor deposition of embossed structures being necessary in this connection. Further the present invention is directed to a computer program product having control commands, which executes the method or operates the proposed apparatus.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY, AUTHENTICATION MEDIUM, AND FORMATION METHOD
A three-dimensional display including a laminate sheet with first element cells with recorded personal identification information, and second element cells carrying an authentication medium with visible personal identification information, including a first region and a second region formed by arranging first element cells and second element cells which form respective phase shift structures; the first element cells and the second element cells arranged in an interleaved manner at a predetermined ratio to form respective three-dimensional structures; the first region and the second region are visible respectively from first and second sides of the laminate sheet; a first reconstructed image is produced on the first side of the laminate sheet due to the phase shift structure formed by the first element cells; and a second reconstructed image is produced on the second side of the laminate sheet due to the phase shift structure formed by the second element cells.
