A notebook may generally comprise a plurality of sheets of paper, a binding mechanism binding the plurality of sheets together, and a cover bound to the plurality of sheets of paper disposed therebetween, the cover comprising first and second opposed covers, the first cover including a first portion and a second portion and having a hinge line extending therebetween, wherein the second portion is pivotable about the hinge line between a closed position and an open position. A replaceable cover element is detachably mountable on the receiving surface. At least one book cover comprises a receiving surface, fastened articulatedly on the spin and pivotable around the corresponding pivot axis, as well as a cover element. The receiving surface and the cover element are integral and the book cover is replaceable thanks to a detachable mounting of the receiving surface on the spine element.
