MODULATORS OF VASOPRESSIN RECEPTORS WITH THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL
Compounds comprising piperazines, piperidines, spiro-furanopiperidines, and analogs thereof are provided that are modulators, such as positive allosteric modulators, of one or more subclasses of vasopressin receptors. The compounds can be selective modulators of one or more subclasses of vasopressin receptors. Compounds of the invention can be used in the treatment of a condition wherein modulating a vasopressin receptor is medically indicated for treatment of the condition.

Extended release, abuse deterrent dosage forms comprising crush-resistant controlled-release particles that provide abuse deterrent properties to the dosage forms. The crush-resistant controlled-release particles, which comprise plastic/elastic polymers and at least one active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are prepared by a hot melt extrusion process.

An object of the present invention is to provide a pharmaceutical composition having abuse deterrent properties and thereby prevent the abuse of a pharmacologically active component by an abuser (abuse through snorting, abuse through injection, or abuse through snorting or injection of a temporarily extracted drug). The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition having abuse deterrent properties that possesses both a physical barrier and a chemical barrier to being abused by an abuser, a method for producing the same and a method for using the same.

ABUSE RESISTANT TRANSMUCOSAL DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
The present invention relates to a solid pharmaceutical dosage form for abusable drug delivery with reduced illicit abuse potential. The dosage form is presented as a bioerodable transmucosal delivery device that includes an abusable drug and an antagonist to the abusable drug associated with an abuse-resistant matrix. The devices of the invention may be in the form of a layered film or a tablet. Upon application in a non-abusive manner, the device adheres to the mucosal surface, providing transmucosal drug delivery of the drug with minimal absorption of the antagonist into systemic circulation.
