A document case is provided that includes a document holder having a front side and a back side, at least the front side having openings for viewing a document when inserted into the document holder, and a cover being pivotally connected to a side wall of the document holder, the cover having one or more openings that coordinate with the openings on the document holder to visualize a portion of the document within the document holder. The document case can also include one or more tiles sized to fit into the one or more openings of the cover and/or holder to cover a portion of the document exposed through the respective opening or openings.

An electronic aware folio includes structure for holding a number of different electronics devices, and also includes a charger for those electronics devices at different levels in the folio, accessible from different sides. The folio has first and second sides hinged together on a spine. The first side, has a plurality of interconnected webbed pockets, including a first pocket adapted for holding a first electronic device, and accessible from a first side of the folio, a second pocket, above the first pocket, and accessible from a second side of the folio opposite to the first side, the first and second pockets sized for holding different sized electronic devices. A ring mechanism for retaining loose-leaf pages includes a housing and ring members for holding loose-leaf pages that are moveable relative to the housing between an open and closed position. An actuation system moves the ring members and includes hinge plates pivotally mounted on the housing and an actuator actuating pivoting movement of the hinge plates. A travel bar of the actuation system is moveable by the actuator between a locked position blocking pivoting movement of the hinge plates and an unlocked position allowing pivoting movement of the hinge plates. The actuation system is adapted to deform while moving the travel bar from the locked position toward the unlocked position to delay the pivoting motion of the hinge plates from the movement of the actuator.

A single-detent binder for a file folder has a housing, one pair of baseplates, ring shaped components, a control component, a pull rod, rotary locking pieces and an intermediate junction component. The control component, intermediate junction component, pull rod and rotary locking pieces are connected in series. When the control component rotates, the rotary locking pieces are triggered to rotate in the trough of the first baseplate based on the mechanical principle of connecting rod, thus performing the locking/unlocking function. When the binder is closed, the baffle plates on the second baseplate hinder the rotary locking pieces from rotation, thus generating a clamping force. After the baffle plates and rotary locking pieces work jointly to close the binder, the ring shaped components generate a scrambling force, thus enhancing the locking effect and preventing the single-detent binder from opening unexpectedly.

The present invention provides a single-detent binder for holding loose-leaf paper sheets, which mainly includes a housing, one pair of symmetrically elongated baseplates, ring shaped components, a control component, and a pull rod. The control component is operable to move the rings for performing the locking and unlocking function. As the handle forms an essential and irreplaceable part of the whole mechanism, embodiments of the present invention disclose a single-detent binder with the control component constructed in a way to improve the durability of the internal components.
