ANTIBACTERIAL COMPOUNDS
The present application provides antibiotic compounds, as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds, and methods of treating bacterial infections using these compounds
ANTISEPTIC SOLUTIONS AND APPLICATORS
An antiseptic solution comprising a pH-dependent antimicrobial agent, the pH-dependent antimicrobial agent having an operative pH range, wherein the solution has a pH on storage that is lower than the operative pH range. Applicators for applying the antiseptic solution and methods of using the antiseptic solution and applicators are also provided.
Antimicrobial compositions comprising esters of hydroxycarboxylic acids
Antimicrobial compositions, especially those useful when applied topically, particularly to mucosal tissues (i.e., mucous membranes), including, in particular, a fatty alcohol ester of a hydroxycarboxylic acid, alkoxylated derivatives thereof, or combinations thereof. The compositions can also include an enhancer component, a surfactant component, a hydrophobic component, and/or a hydrophilic component. Such compositions provide effective topical antimicrobial activity and are accordingly useful in the treatment and/or prevention of conditions that are caused, or aggravated by, microorganisms (including viruses).
ANTIMICROBIAL MATERIAL
The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition comprising copper and zinc incorporated into or coated on a substrate material, wherein the substrate comprises a dermatological composition for external use on a subject. The invention also relates to methods of making the described antimicrobial materials.
