Writing Implement With Bearing Coupled Rotary Device
The present invention provides for a writing instrument that includes an elongated body with a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is coupled to a post and the second end has an aperture for a writing tip to be exposed, a rotary bearing coupled to the post, wherein the rotary bearing has a central opening and wherein the post at least partially extends through the central opening of the rotary bearing, and a rotary device coupled to the bearing.
System and Method for Holding and Sanitizing Writing Implements
A system and method for holding and sanitizing handheld implements. The system uses a container filled with a body of open cell foam. The body of the open cell foam has hollow shafts formed therein for holding the implements. The hollow shafts in the body of open cell foam are accessible through the open top of the container. A volume of a liquid disinfectant is poured into the container. The liquid disinfectant is at least partially absorbed by the body of open cell foam. This moistens the walls of the hollow shafts with disinfectant. As handheld implement is inserted into a hollow shaft, it is physically wiped and coated with the liquid disinfectant without being submerged in liquid disinfectant. When the implement is drawn out of the tubular shaft, it is clean, sanitized and ready to use without the need to dry.

Handle and Connector for an Illustration Unit
An illustration unit is disclosed for use by people who have less than optimal gripping capability. The handle of the illustration unit has a diameter sufficient to allow the user's pinky, ring, and middle fingers to come near to or in contact with the thenar while preventing a user's pinky, ring and middle fingers from contacting a user's proximal or distal palmar. Preferably, the handle is configured to enable a user to contact a surface approximately parallel to the user's body with a marking element. Either the handle or connector can be arcuate, having an interior surface and an exterior surface. At least one connector is dimensioned to be received in the receiving area and the second end to receive a marking element.

SELF-RIGHTING HANDHELD UTENSIL
A self-righting handheld utensil comprises a base having a generally rounded bottom side, a weighted element disposed within the base, an elongated region extending outwardly from the base, and a use portion. The weighted element and rounded bottom of the base provide for a self-righting function for the disclosed utensil such that, when placed on a flat or substantially flat surface, it counterbalances the utensil to an upright vertical orientation without the need for user intervention or the application of any external force. The base need not become uncoupled from the elongated region and use portion before the user makes operative use of the disclosed utensil. The base may also have an aesthetic feature on an outer surface thereof.
