A modular combination toy and desktop writing accessory apparatus comprising a plurality of structural elements each having at least one nodal connector portion to which a complementary connector portion of another structural element can be coupled. The structural elements can be assembled into a barrel-like form that is configured with a passageway for carrying a writing component of the invention. The writing component can be a pen, pencil, marker, crayon, eraser or the like. The modular combination toy and writing instrument has multiple functions in playtime as well as in everyday desk-bound activities.

A pen holder is provided for storing a first pen or marker, and a second pen or marker. The pen holder comprises a first base body which extends in a first longitudinal direction and delimits a first receiving space for at least partially receiving the first pen, and a second base body which extends in a second longitudinal direction and delimits a second receiving space for at least partially receiving the second pen. A coupling element and a method of using a coupling element are also provided.

An elastic wire clip assembly includes a connection member and an elastic wire clip. The elastic wire clip includes at least one clamping section configured for clamping an object to the outer surface of a writing instrument or the like, at least one assembly section connected to an end portion of the clamping section, and at least one elastic transfer section connected to the assembly section. The elastic transfer section deforms when the clamping section is pressed outward from the outer surface of the writing instrument. A restoring elastic force from the deformed elastic transfer section counteracts the pressure. The elastic wire clip is formed by bending one steel wire. The connection member comprises a hanging wall and a blocking wall opposite the hanging wall to form a socket for receiving and retaining the elastic wire clip.

A writing instrument includes a shaft barrel and a grip provided at part of the shaft barrel. The grip has a cylindrically shaped inside shaft part and a cylindrically shaped outside shaft part arranged at the outside of the inside shaft part, thinner than the inside shaft part, and made of a nonviscoelastic plastic. A space part is provided between the inside shaft part and the outside shaft part.

A carpenter pencil clip device is disclosed that attaches onto an end of the pencil and onto a pant or shirt pocket. The carpenter pencil clip device comprises a body component that is configured to form around an edge of the pencil. The body component also comprises a protruding spring clip which secures the pencil to a user's pocket. Further, the body component is typically constructed using a malleable metal, such as aluminum, to tightly secure the obscure shape of the carpenter's pencil. Thus, the body component is bent and formed around the edge of the pencil and then clipped onto the user's pocket for storage and easy access.
