MULTIPURPOSE DRAWING TOOL
Embodiments herein are directed to a spatially efficient, multipurpose drawing tool adapted for creating architectural design drawings and capable of drawing lines at regular 15 degree intervals without requiring mechanical reconfiguration. The multipurpose drawing tool is arranged, dimensioned and organized as four sides with a concave vertex opposite three convex vertices, one of which has an angle of 90 degrees and may be quickly manipulated to draw a line at any 15 degree interval, e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90. The multipurpose drawing tool may also include an aperture having a diameter sized according to a scale for drawing arcs, such as a semi-circular arc depicting a door swing in scaled architectural drawings. The multipurpose drawing tool also addresses a problem of chipped or bent tips for drawing tool vertices (e.g., traditional 30-60-90 triangles and 45-45-90 triangles) by cleaving a portion of each tip.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF MULTIFUNCTIONAL WRITING DEVICE
A multifunctional writing device comprising a hollow body, wherein the hollow body comprises one or more cavities configured to store a protractor, a ruler, a set square thirty/sixty-degree (30/60)triangle, a set square forty-five-degree (45) triangle, a compass needle, a USB flash drive, a stylus, and an eraser. A first writing member comprises lead and a mechanical pencil system being provided in a first portion of the hollow body. A second writing member comprising a pen system being provided in a second portion of the hollow body. A magnetic lock attaches and stores a protractor, a ruler, a set square thirty/sixty-degree (30/60) triangle, a set square forty-five-degree (45) triangle, and a compass needle inside a cavity. A protractor, a ruler, a set square thirty/sixty-degree (30/60)triangle, and a set square forty-five-degree (45) triangle are removed from a cavity by pulling rectangular strip top portion.
SPEED SQUARE WITH EXTENSION
A speed square is provided including a triangular flat plate having measurement markings indicated on a least one face, a T bar affixed to, and extending along, the length of the first side of the triangular flat plate, and an extension element operably coupled to an end of second side of the triangular flat plate opposite the T bar. The extension element having measurement markings indicated on at least one face, such that the measurement markings of the triangular flat face continue on the extension element.
Speed Square With Highly Visible Level
A speed square with a highly-visible level vial where the level vial and cushioning members are sandwiched and compressed between interacting portions of the square's blade and the square's heel, with the cushioning members positioned above the level vial adjacent to the blade, or below the level vial adjacent to the heel, as desired. The level vial may be fully contained with a thick heel, or may be positioned in order to be held partially or fully above the top surface of a thin or thick heel, within a viewing notched formed in the blade for better visibility.
Carpenter tools
A carpenter square includes a body including a first, second, and third edges. A fence is pivoted to the first edge for movement among first, second, and third positions. In the first and second positions, the fence is normal to the body. In the third position, the fence is coplanar to the body. A hinge assembly pivots the fence to the body and includes a notch in the body, a recess in the notch, and a tab projecting from the fence and fit over the pin for reciprocating and swinging movement. The tab moves between a neutral stance, in which the tab is mis-registered with the recess and disables movement of the fence among the first, second, and third positions, and an advanced stance, in which the tab is registered with the recess and enables movement of the fence among the first, second, and third positions.
Rafter Square
A rafter square is provided. The rafter square includes a first outer edge, a second outer edge and an angled edge that extends between and connects the first outer edge and the second outer edge. The rafter square includes a plurality of scribe holes with each scribe hole having at least one scribe notch. The scribe notches are sized and/or shaped to receive a variety of marking instruments (e.g., a mechanical pencil, carpenter's pencil, etc.) of various sizes for use with the rafter square.
Framing tool adaptable for use with a framing square
A framing tool includes a pair of slotted beams that are affixed together at each end using an end spacer of a thickness selected to maintain the two slotted beams at a separation that allows a framing square to slide easily but snugly therebetween. Then, a user can cause the slotted beams to clamp down on the framing square using two sliding clamps so as to trap the framing square between the two slotted beams. The first sliding clamp is slidable along a slot of the pair of slotted beams, and the second sliding clamp is slidable along a slot of the pair of slotted beams. The framing tool also includes: a pair of end-fixed spacer assemblies, a first end-fixed spacer assembly configured to squeeze together the first ends against an end spacer, and a second end-fixed spacer assembly configured to squeeze together the second ends against an end spacer.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF MULTI-FUNCTIONAL WRITING DEVICE
A multifunctional writing instrument includes a hollow body, wherein the hollow body comprises one or more cavities configured to attach with a plurality of technical drawing tools. A first writing member having a first writing tip is included. The first writing member includes lead and a mechanical pencil system being provided in a first portion of the hollow body, and wherein the first writing tip is axial with respect to the hollow body. A second writing member having a second writing tip is included. The second writing member comprises ink and an ink pen system being provided in a second portion of the hollow body. The first portion of the hollow body is at an opposite end of the second portion of the hollow body. The second writing tip is axial with respect to the hollow body.
