ANTIOXIDANT COMPLEX FOR REDUCING NUMBER OF SOMATIC CELL IN LIVESTOCK ANIMAL, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Provided are an antioxidant complex for reducing the number of somatic cells in a livestock animal and a preparation method and application thereof. Active components of the preparation are melatonin (MT) having a centration of 2-30 g/L and vitamin C having a concentration of 1-14.3 g/L. The antioxidant complex provided in the present invention can effectively reduce the number of somatic cells in a diary cow and improve milk quality.
USE OF MICRO- AND NANO-MgH2 COMPOUND PARTICLES IN INHIBITION OF LEISHMANIA INFECTION AND TREATMENT OF LEISHMANIASIS
A use of micro- and nano-MgH.sub.2 compound particles in the inhibition of Leishmania infection and in the treatment of Leishmaniasis is provided. The micro- and nano-MgH.sub.2 compound particles can be used to prepare a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting Leishmania or to prepare a pharmaceutical composition for treating a skin or mucosal ulcer or visceral damage caused by Leishmania infection. The present disclosure discovers for the first time that the micro- and nano-MgH.sub.2 compound particles can significantly reduce the number of Leishmania in macrophages and inhibit the proliferation of Leishmania, indicating a very prominent insecticidal inhibition effect. The micro- and nano-MgH.sub.2 compound particles of the present disclosure can quickly and effectively cure a skin ulcer and/or a mucosal ulcer caused by Leishmania and an impaired function of an internal organ (mainly liver and spleen) caused by Leishmania and have high biosafety and huge clinical application values.

Disclosed are two novel crystalline forms of S-acetyl glutathione (SAG) called Form A and Form B, obtained by crystallization of SAG from mixtures of water-acetone, water-ethanol or water acetone under controlled conditions. Forms A and B can be advantageously used as ingredients of pharmaceutical or nutraceutical formulations.

There are several unit operations involved including an ultrafiltration unit, concentration unit, and a three stage counter current separator centrifuge wherein water is used as the solvent. The final products that are extracted from apple peel include pectin, syrup, fibers, as well as soluble and dried retentate fractions.
