The present invention is a cosmetic containing a silicone resin whose constitutional units consist of general formulae (A) (R.sup.1.sub.3SiO.sub.1/2)a, (B) (R.sup.2.sub.2SiO.sub.2/2)b, (C) (R.sup.3SiO.sub.3/2) c, and (D) (SiO.sub.4/2) d, where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 each independently represent a group selected from an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, and a fluorine-substituted alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, “a” has a value of 0.2 to 0.5, “b” has a value of 0.0 to 0.1, “c” has a value of 0.2 to 0.6, “d” has a value of 0.2 to 0.5, a+b+c+d has a value of 1.0, a/(c+d) has a value of 0.3 to 0.9, and c/d has a value of 0.4 to 3.0, the silicone resin having a weight-average molecular weight of more than 20000 and 100000 or less. An object of the present invention is to provide accordingly a cosmetic that has no stickiness upon application, has excellent cosmetic durability, and can prevent adhesion to clothes or the like (secondary adhesion).

An ink composition including at least one photochromic pigment or dye, at least one film-forming resin, and at least one solvent in which the at least one photochromic pigment or dye and the at least one film-forming resin are dispersible or dissolvable, wherein the components of the ink composition are present in respective amounts such that the ink composition is in the form of a liquid or gel until evaporation of the at least one solvent, and wherein, upon evaporation of the at least one solvent, the at least one film-forming resin forms a film that (a) inhibits the ink composition from degrading when covered with the sunscreen product or (b) inhibits the ink composition from washing off when the sunscreen is washed off or both, the film-forming resin including shellac, polyurethane, acrylic polymer, silicone polymer or a mixture thereof.

A personal care composition and its process of preparation wherein the composition comprises (a) polyglycerol ester product of 5 weight parts of lactic acid, 5 weight parts of lauric acid and 90 weight parts of polyglycerol; (b) one or more ingredient(s) and (c) water; wherein the polyglycerol is with an average polymeric degree of .sub.2-5.

Sponges for cosmetic and/or medicinal applications are coated with a surface coating. The surface coating contains an elastomeric, non-silicone polymer, a certain silicone polymer, an encapsulated phase change material and optionally ceramic particles. The coated sponges have desirable haptic properties and efficiently absorb and release make-up and medicines for application to the skin.

Disclosed herein are aesthetic-enhancing formulations and methods thereof. For example, an aesthetic-enhancing formulation includes, in some embodiments, one or more pigments, one or more active ingredients, and one or more excipients. The one-or-more excipients includes at least a vehicle configured to evenly distribute components throughout the aesthetic-enhancing formulation, the components including the one-or-more pigments, the one-or-more active ingredients, and any other excipients other than the vehicle. In another example, a method for the aesthetic-enhancing formulation includes, in some embodiments, inserting the aesthetic-enhancing formulation into a dermal layer of skin by percutaneous punctures.
