Novel gradient copolymers including at least two different and specifically selected monomers, and cosmetic or skin-care compositions including same. The invention also relates to a cosmetic method for make-up or the care of keratin materials, in particular the skin of the body or of the face, the nails, the hair and/or the eyelashes, comprising the application of a cosmetic composition as defined above on said materials.
Oil-in-water emulsified skin cosmetic composition
An oil-in-water emulsion skin cosmetic composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E): (A) from 1 to 10% by mass of an oil agent which is liquid at 25° C., (B) from 1 to 6% by mass of an oil agent which is solid or semi-solid at 25° C., (C) from 0.7 to 3.5% by mass of linear alcohol having 12 to 22 carbon atoms, (D) from 0.2 to 1% by mass of at least one selected from the group consisting of an ionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 12.5 to 15, and (E) water, wherein the mass ratio of the component (B) to the component (A), (B)/(A), is from 0.3 to 1.0, and emulsion particles have a number-average particle diameter of 1.0 to 3.0 μm.
O/W EMULSION AND W/O EMULSION INVERTED THEREFROM, AND PERSONAL CARE COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME
It relates to an O/W emulsion which can be inverted to a W/O emulsion and the W/O emulsion inverted from the O/W emulsion, wherein the O/W emulsion is obtained from radical polymerization under emulsion polymerization reaction condition of at least one polyorganosiloxane having at least two aliphatic unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds, and optionally an organohydrogen-polysiloxane, in the presence of a polyether-modified polysiloxane. It also relates to preparation process of the O/W emulsion and the W/O emulsion, and a personal care composition containing the emulsion.
MAKEUP APPLICATION METHOD
A method for makeup including (A) applying to skin a composition X including components (A1) and (A2). (A1) includes a polymer containing a norbornane moiety and/or a silicone-modified Pullulan and (A2) includes a volatile oil. The method further includes (B) applying to the skin a composition Y including a component (B1), other than the composition X, where (B1) includes one or more selected from the group consisting of polyols and liquid oils.
TOPICAL SKIN PREPARATION COMPOSITION
A composition for external preparation for skin including the following components (A), (B), and (C). (A) includes from 1 to 30 mass % of a polymer having a silicone moiety in which a ratio of deformation is 0.3 or more and 1 or less, and in a bend resistance test using a cylindrical mandrel method a minimum diameter of a cylindrical mandrel which causes no cracks in a polymer film is 2 mm or longer and 25 mm or shorter. (B) includes a volatile oil having a volatilization rate of 14% or more after drying at 1 atmosphere, at 40° C., and an R.H. of 60% for 30 minutes. (C) includes a cation-modified clay mineral and a mass ratio of the component (A) to the component (C), (A)/(C), is from 5 to 23.
Polynucleotide encoding acyl-CoA synthetase homolog and use thereof
The present invention relates to an acyl-CoA synthetase homolog protein from microorganisms of the genus Mortierella, a polynucleotide encoding the protein, and so on. The invention provides polynucleotides comprising an acyl-CoA synthetase homolog protein gene from, e.g., Mortierella alpina, expression vectors comprising these polynucleotides and transformants thereof, a method for producing lipids or fatty acids using the transformants, food products containing the lipids or fatty acids produced by the method, etc.

ELASTIC JELLY-LIKE COMPOSITION
The present invention provides an oil-in-water emulsion composition thickened with a hydrophobically modified polyether urethane, the composition having improved high-temperature stability and giving a pudding-like unique feeling. The invention provides an elastic jelly-like composition characterized in that a hydrophobically modified polyether urethane has been incorporated into an oil-in-water emulsion including oil droplets with an average particle diameter of 150 nm or smaller. The elastic jelly-like composition is transparent or translucent, gives a pudding-like elastic feeling, has excellent viscosity stability at high temperatures, and is suitable for use as a cosmetic-preparation base. The hydrophobically modified polyether urethane is especially preferably a PEG-240/decyltetradeceth-20/HDI copolymer.
