The invention is an outer layer obscuring an image on a base layer on a receptacle. When illuminated, the obscured image or images are revealed. The base layer is disposed on the exterior wall of the receptacle. The base layer has an image. The outer layer is disposed on the first layer and it can also include an image but it can be without any image at all. The outer layer obscures the first layer. An illuminating source is placed inside the wall of the receptacle. When illuminated, the first image on the base layer is visible through the outer layer. The second image of the outer layer can be observed to form a new combined image with the first image of the base layer.

A thermoplastic molded product including a decorative material having superior heat resistance, impact strength and flexural strength is disclosed. The thermoplastic molded product is useful for a window glass substitute, a partition, a decorative panel, a decorative film, and so on. The thermoplastic molded product comprises a copolymerized polyester resin sheet made of a copolymerized polyester resin; and at least one decorative material laminated on the copolymerized polyester resin sheet, the lamination being performed by applying heat and pressure to the copolymerized polyester resin sheet and the decorative material. The copolymerized polyester resin has an alternating structure of acid moieties which are derived from acid components and diol moieties which are derived from diol components, and the acid components comprise terephthalic acid, and the diol components comprise (i) 599 mol % of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and (ii) 160 mol % of isosorbide with respect to the total diol components.

Provided is a painting structure that comprises a reflecting plate and one or more painting layers. The reflecting plate may have a reflective surface. The one or more painting layers may comprise a painting region and a non-painting region. The non-painting region may be oppositely arranged with respect to the reflective surface. The one or more painting layers may be spaced a predetermined distance away from the reflecting plate. At least the painting region may have a plurality of through holes, which may be irregularly arranged and may differ in shape.

KIT FOR SIMULATED STAINED GLASS ARTICLE, ARTICLE PRODUCED FROM THE KIT, AND SUBSTRATE FOR THE ARTICLE
20170028775 · 2017-02-02 ·

A kit for making a simulated stained glass article, having a light-transmissive molded plastic substrate with an array of ridges on one major surface, laterally defining a pattern of upwardly open spaces, and a set of light-transmissive molded plastic colored stickers that are respectively peripherally shaped to fit conformingly into the spaces of the pattern. Side walls of the ridges are beveled at an angle sufficient to enable release of the substrate from a mold but are steep enough to facilitate precise placement of the stickers in the spaces and to minimize transmission of light around the edges of the stickers. In an article made from the kit, the stickers and ridges simulate the glass pieces and lead cames of a conventional stained glass window.

A structure that forms a visual representation may include a first outer layer, a second outer layer, and an interlayer being disposed between the first outer layer and the second outer layer. The interlayer may have a first side adjacent to the first outer layer and a second side adjacent to the second outer layer. The interlayer includes a plurality of cuts extending from the first side of the interlayer towards the second side of the interlayer. Each of the plurality of cuts may have an angle with respect to a plane formed by a surface of the first side of the interlayer. Each angle for at least a portion of the plurality of cuts is based on one or more pixel values of at least one image that forms the basis of the visual representation.

DECORATIVE MEMBER, RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT, AND DECORATIVE DISPLAY DEVICE

A decorative member has a first surface displaying a design and a second surface opposite the first surface. The decorative member includes a decorative layer and a light absorber in this order from the first surface toward the second surface. The decorative layer forms the design. The light absorber is disposed in a predetermined pattern. The light absorber overlays the decorative layer. The decorative layer transmits at least a portion of light incident on each position. The decorative layer includes a first layer including a colorant expressing a cyan-based color, a second layer including a colorant expressing a magenta-based color, and a third layer including a colorant expressing a yellow-based color. The first layer, the second layer, and the third layer overlay one another in a section of the decorative layer.
