METHOD OF IMPROVING HAIR VOLUME
The invention provides a method for improving the volume of hair which comprises the following steps: (i) treating the hair by topical application of a composition comprising from 1 to 25 wt % of one or more glucosamine salts; (ii) shaping the treated hair; (iii) allowing the composition to remain in contact with the shaped hair before drying. Advantageously the method of the invention does not require the breakage of the hair disulfide bonds, does not require the use of high temperature heated implements such as straightening irons, and can be accomplished by a consumer without intervention of a professional hairdresser.
COMPOSITION FOR IMPROVING DAMAGED HAIR
The present invention relates to a composition which includes a polymer compound and a neutralizing agent and can be applied to damaged hair, wherein the compound included in the composition has unshared electron pairs and thus forms strong polar bonds with alpha-hydrogen in amino acids of the hair to which the compound is to be bonded, the composition has both a hard segment and a soft segment in the compound, and thus imparts multifunctionality, such as elasticity, repellency, and bulkiness, and collagen included in the composition attaches to damaged cell membrane complexes (CMC), thus enabling the damaged hair to recover. Further, oxygen included in the compound forms hydrogen bonds with moisture in the air to form a film having high antistatic properties and a large refractive index, and thus imparts gloss and deep-color effects.
Hair treatment composition
A hair treatment composition comprising (a) from 0.01 to 10 wt % of surfactant in a solvent, by weight of the total composition, and (b) a mixture of amino acids, wherein the mixture of amino acids comprises glutamic acid, alanine and proline gives damage repair benefits to chemically damaged hair.
Hair treatment formulations and uses thereof
The present application relates to hair treatment formulations and methods of use in the cosmetics field. The hair treatment formulations include bis(2-ethylhexyl) maleate as the active agent, and may be used in bleaching, conditioning and styling hair.
KERATINOUS FIBER CARE PRODUCT AND METHOD
Cosmetic products and methods for the care of keratin-containing fibers using the cosmetic products are provided herein. In an embodiment, a cosmetic product includes a) a cosmetic preparation and b) a device for the flash evaporation of the cosmetic preparation a). The a cosmetic preparation a) includes, based on its total weight, a1) from about 70 to about 99% by weight of a polar solvent and a2) at least about 0.1% by weight of care components.
NOVEL PSEUDOCERAMIDE COMPOUND, AND EXTERNAL USE SKIN PREPARATION COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME
The present invention relates to a novel pseudoceramide compound, and more particularly, to a novel pseudoceramide compound represented by formula 1 and having skin moisturizing and barrier function characteristics, and a skin topical composition comprising the pseudoceramide compound:
##STR00001##
wherein R.sub.1 represents a linear C12-C18 alkyl group and has at least one double bond, and R.sub.2 represents a linear C12-C22 alkyl group and has a double bond.
Formulation comprising ester quats based on isopropanolamine
Cosmetic formulations including specific ester quats based on isopropanolamine are provided, as well as the use of these ester quats in cosmetics.
CANNABIDIOLOIC ACID ESTERS FOR COSMETIC OR EDIBLE COMPOSITIONS
The present invention provides cosmetic or edible compositions comprising a cannabinoid component, wherein the cannabinoid component comprises a cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) ester alone or in combination with one or more cannabinoid compound(s), and a physiologically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluent, and uses thereof for improving appearance, well-being and/or general health.
METHOD OF FORMING A SILICONE LAYER
A method of treating the hair including providing a concentrated hair care composition in a foam dispenser. The concentrated hair care composition includes one or more silicones, perfume, and less than 6% high melting point fatty compounds. The method also includes dispensing the concentrated hair care composition from the foam dispenser as a dosage of foam; applying the foam to the hair; and rinsing the foam from the hair. The foam has a density of from about 0.025 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.40 g/cm.sup.3 when dispensed from the foam dispenser. The one or more silicones form a silicone layer that has a normalized thickness of deposition of from about 0.001 nm/ppm to about 0.019 nm/ppm.
