A DISC WHEEL FOR AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR APPLICATION
The present invention provides a disc wheel with variable thickness for agricultural tractor application. According to an embodiment, a disc wheel with variable thickness includes an axle mounting area 201, an axle mounting radius area 202, a wheel weight mounting area 203 and a connection bracket mounting area 204, wherein said disc wheel includes maximum thickness at the axle mounting area 101 and at the connection bracket mounting area 204. The disc wheel 200 uses less material input for imparting high strength. Further, the disc wheel 200 with variable thickness prevents bolt hole failures by providing higher strength at a centre. The thickness from the axle mounting area 201 gradually decreases up to the end of the wheel mounting area 203 and matches the thickness at the connection bracket mounting area 204. The disc wheel 200 with variable thickness is achieved using flow forming process 402.
VEHICLE WHEELS, METHODS OF MAKING VEHICLE WHEELS, AND DUAL WHEEL ASSEMBLIES
Vehicle wheels, methods of making vehicle wheels, and dual wheel assemblies are provided. The vehicle wheel comprises a generally cylindrical first region and a second region extending radially inwardly from the first region. The second region comprises a first surface, a second surface, an opening, and a hub surface. A distance from the first surface to the second surface defines a thickness. The opening is configured to receive at least a portion of a hub of the vehicle axle. The hub surface is adjacent to and surrounds the opening and extends from the first surface to the second surface. The hub surface comprises a generally flat portion and a relief portion adjacent to at least one of the first surface and the second surface. The relief portion surrounds the opening and extends along the hub surface for a distance of at least 25% of the thickness.
ADAPTIVE WHEEL ASSEMBLY WITH INTERCHANGEABLE DECORATIVE FACES
A wheel assembly that provides a simulated center lock wheel look that also enables exchanging of ornamental face plates with a center hub attachment device that will allow car enthusiasts to easily change the look of their automotive wheels while maintaining a center lock wheel appearance. The assembly includes three components: a base wheel, a plurality of ornamental face plates, and a center hub attachment extending from one of either the hub or the ornamental face plate.
VEHICLE WHEEL DISC AND VEHICLE DISC WHEEL
A mounting portion of a disc includes a flat plate portion having a pressing surface to be pressed against a hub of an axle, and a plurality of nut support portions protruding from the flat plate portion to a side opposite to the pressing surface in an axial direction of the disc, and having an annular shape as viewed from the axial direction. A bolt hole is provided to penetrate the nut support portion in the axial direction. The nut support portion includes a bulging portion curving to bulge outward in a radial direction of the nut support portion, and a protruding portion disposed adjacent to the bulging portion in a circumferential direction of the nut support portion, and protruding inward in the radial direction of the nut support portion with respect to the bulging portion.
Wheel mounting structure
A wheel mounting structure relates to a structure for fixing the wheel to the wheel hub which includes a substantially cylindrical spigot joint part protruding from the hub axle part toward the vehicle body outer side with respect to the flange part. In the spigot joint part, the first cylindrical outer peripheral surface and the groove are formed. The annular protruding part is provided so as to protrude toward the center of the wheel from the inner peripheral surface of the center hole. In a state where the wheel is fixed to the flange part using the fastening members, the fitting part and the annular protruding part fit with each other. In a state where the fastening members are removed, the annular cylindrical protruding part is engaged with the groove.
Aircraft wheel hub cap attachment flange stress relieving pockets
An outboard wheel half has an axis and includes an outboard wheel structure configured to receive at least a portion of a tire. The outboard wheel half also includes a structure defining an alignment hole usable to align a hubcap relative to the structure. The structure defines a pocket circumferentially aligned with the alignment hole to reduce an amount of stress at a location of the alignment hole.
Method of restoring a wheel to compliance and tooling for performing the method
A method of restoring a wheel (1) to compliance, the wheel having a plurality of ovalized bores (2). The method is characterized in that it includes at least a step of boring a first ovalized bore (2) with the help of a reamer (3) presenting a longitudinal pilot portion (3a) and a longitudinal cutter portion (3b), the cutter portion (3b) presenting teeth (4) defining a cutting diameter (D2), and the pilot portion (3a) presenting a pilot diameter (D1) strictly less than the cutting diameter (D2), the step of boring this first ovalized bore (2) consisting in inserting the reamer (3) into the first ovalized bore (2), beginning with the pilot portion (3a) and followed by the cutter portion (3b), the pilot diameter (D1) being such that it enables the reamer (3) to be guided in translation inside the first ovalized bore (2) for boring.
WHEEL SPOKE BACK CAVITY WEIGHT REDUCTION SOCKET
A motor vehicle aluminum alloy hub having weight reduction sockets at the back cavity includes a wheel disc and a rim; the wheel disc includes a flange, a flange peripheral portion and spokes; the spoke includes a spoke main arm on one side close to the flange, and two spoke branch arms extend from the spoke main arm; the spoke includes a spoke weight reduction socket on one side of the back cavity, and the spoke weight reduction socket is V-shaped; the spokes include five flange peripheral portion weight reduction sockets uniformly distributed around the flange on the back of the flange peripheral portion; and the flange includes flange weight reduction sockets between bolt holes on one side of the back cavity.
Shaped preform for spoke portion of a composite wheel
A shaped preform component (200A) for a spoke portion (108A) of a composite wheel (100), the shaped preform (200A) comprising: an elongate body (215) configured to be located in a spoke (108) of a composite wheel (100), wherein the shaped preform component (200A) is formed from a cured composite fibre material having a compressibility of <2% volumetric under moulding conditions of 50 bar hydrostatic pressure and a temperature of 60 to 150 C., and wherein the density of the cured composite fibre material is selected to form a counterbalance mass for a mass addition (300) to the composite wheel (100).
