The present disclosure relates to an active ingredient composition for shape change and surface modification of human hair: The present disclosure especially relates to a cosmetic product for the treatment of a keratinous material, comprising a) at least one organic silicon compound and b) at least one polyacrylate copolymer, wherein the cosmetic product is especially suitable for the treatment of colored hair.

The disclosure relates to compositions for treating hair and methods of using the compositions. The compositions comprise (a) citric acid and/or a salt thereof, and (b) glycine and/or a salt thereof. The compositions and methods may be for altering the color of the hair, and/or for providing strength and/or elasticity to the hair.

Provided herein is a mild, natural, sustainable, silicon-free, waterless, solid hair color protection and UV protection composition comprising of p-methoxy cinnamidopropyl behenyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, one or more structuring agent like fatty alcohol, natural conditioning agents like butters, natural vegetable/fruit/nut oil and its corresponding esters. A keratin treatment composition is disclosed.

The treatment is cosmetic non-therapeutic, adapted to prevent hair depigmentation and implementing a peptide X-(Xaa)n-P*P*-(Xaa)m-Z, wherein P* corresponds to a Proline, analog or derivative thereof, Xaa is an amino-acid selected from P*, Glycine, Alanine, Valine, Leucine, Isoleucine, Arginine and Phenylalanine, n and m are equal to 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, with n+m8; and at the N-terminal end, X is selected from H, COR.sup.1, SO.sub.2R.sup.1 or a biotinoyle group; at the C-terminal end, Z is selected from OH, OR.sup.1, NH.sub.2, NHR.sup.1 or NR.sup.1R.sup.2; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 being selected from an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkylaryl, alkoxy, saccharide and aryloxy groups having 1 to 24 carbon atoms. The preferred peptide is the Pal-PP used in an anti-greying treatment.

Compositions, kits, and methods for repairing bonds, for example, disulfide bonds, in hair or on the skin are disclosed. The compositions provide improved conditioning benefit for dry hair or moisturize the skin. The compositions also provide a long lasting moisturized feel and smooth feel to the skin or hair, without feeling greasy. The compositions contain one or more compounds that covalently bind at least two thiol groups in the hair or on the skin. Use of the binding compositions prevents reversion of the repaired bonds to their free thiol state, for at least one week or one month, or more, after a single application of the composition. The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of keratin fibres comprising the application, to the fibres, of a composition comprising at least one chemical oxidizing agent, at least one (bi)carbonate and at least one silicate, this application being preceded and/or followed by the application, to the keratin fibres, of a composition comprising one or more compounds chosen from organic acids, amino acids, chitosans, vitamins B, vitamin C, vanillin, their salts, their solvates and their mixtures.
