Elastomeric fastener system for wheel devices

A system. The system includes a wheel, a tire mounted on the wheel, a tire shield, elastomeric members and an extension limiting member. The elastomeric members are coupled to the wheel and the tire shield. The an extension limiting member is coupled to the wheel and the tire shield. The elastomeric members are configured to allow for controlled radial and rotational displacement of the tire shield relative to the wheel in x and y directions while the wheel is rotating during a collision event involving the tire shield.

Wheel of a Vehicle

A wheel of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, has a rim, a hub portion, and at least two spokes connecting the hub portion to the rim. At least one free space between the spokes is covered at least in part by a substantially planar covering element. The covering element is produced from two different material layers.

High Retention Force Fastener

A high retention force fastener for fixing at least two panels together is disclosed. The fastener includes two components. One component is a metal clip and the other is a plastic insert that can be substantially inserted into the metal clip. The metal clip comprises a body having opposed panel engagement features extending therefrom, an insertion stop plate spaced apart from the engagement features and plastic insert locking tabs extending from the stop plate. The metal clip is preferably U-shaped and comprises two sides joined by a connector. Each of the sides includes a pair of the panel engagement features. The plastic insert comprises a head and a leg for insertion into the metal clip. The leg extends from the head. The plastic insert additionally includes metal tab engagement arms extending from and integrally formed with the head for engaging the plastic insert locking tabs of the metal clip.

Spinner Cap

The spinner cap is a device intended to enhance the appearance of an automotive wheel by giving a visual effect of a slowly rotating wheel even when the vehicle is no longer in motion. To accomplish this, the device includes a unique arrangement of parts including a spinner, a spindle, a bearing, and a cap base. The spindle connects the spinner to the bearing. The bearing enables the spinner to rotate independently of the cap base. When fully assembled, the cap base is inserted into the center bore of the wheel and secured by a plurality of spring clips that engage with the center bore. Once in place, the cap base rotates with the wheel and the spinner freely rotates independently of the wheel's rotation.

Wheel trim

The wheel trim (1) comprises a base element (2) provided with holes (3) and a cover element (4) placed on said base element (2), the cover element (4) being linked with the base element (2) by a speed activation element (5) and said cover element (4) being movable between a rest position, in which the holes (3) are not covered, and an active position, in which the holes (3) are completely or partially covered, when the rotating speed of the wheel is higher than a preset speed, and it is characterized in that the cover element (4) is also linked with the base element (2) by a temperature activation element (6), so that when the temperature sensed by said temperature activation element (6) is higher than a preset temperature, the temperature activation element (6) moves the cover element (4) to said rest position.

Cover for vehicle wheels

The cover for vehicle wheels comprises fixing means which allow said cover to be fixed to a rim of a tire and is characterized in that said fixing means comprise a plurality of protrusions, each one of which is associated with a fixing element, each fixing element preferably being housed in the interior of one of said protrusions. It allows mounting/removal (under pressure) of the plastic covers from the frontal part of the tire facilitating, to a large extent, the personalization of the wheel, after the sale of the vehicle, by means of simply interchanging the plastic covers by the end user and/or car dealership.

A device (10) for attachment to a spoked bicycle wheel (not shown, comprises a central section (11) locatable around the wheel hub (not shown), and a plurality of elongate members (12, 13, 14, 15, 21) attachable to the central section (11). When attached to the central section (11), the elongate members (12, 13, 14, 15, 21) are radially and equidistantly disposed thereabout. The length of the and each elongate member (12, 13, 14, 15, 21) is adjustable, if required, such that, in use, the elongate members (12, 13, 14, 15, 21) extend from the central section (11) to the rim of the wheel (not shown).
