DRY COMPOSITION FOR AND METHODS FOR FABRICATION OF DRY COMPOSITIONS
A method of forming a dry composition that includes a blend of a powder phase including at least two absorbents selected from the group of mica, silica, synthetic fluorphlogopite, starch (e.g. polysaccharides), talc, kaolin, and zeolite, and at least one emollient with a solvent phase. The blended powder and solvent phases are formed into the dry composition. A porous mold may be used to shape the dry composition into a three dimensional shape such as block, tablet, or stick. The dry composition may be a solid form cosmetic such as a dry shampoo, blush, foundation, eye shadow, highlighter, brow product, and the like.
PERSONAL CARE SPRAY COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS COMPRISING TRANS-1-CHLORO-3,3,3-TRIFLUOROPROPENE
Disclosed are methods of applying a leave-on personal care treatment products comprising: a) providing a container having a nozzle or opening for selectively releasing the contents thereof; b) including in the container a leave-on personal care formulation comprising: (i) an active component for affecting the personal care of the user; (ii) a carrier for the active component, said carrier comprising at least about 50% by weight of trans-HCFO-1233zd and optionally a co-carrier in amounts of up to about 50% by weight; and c) spraying said leave-on personal care formulation from the container and onto the area of the user to be treated.
PRE-WASH COMPOSITION FOR CLEAN BENEFIT
The present invention discloses a pre-wash composition having from about 0.1% to about 12.0% of a sebum modifier material or mixture of sebum modifier materials, wherein the sebum modifier material has the following physical properties: i.) Molecular charge surface area higher than 8; and ii.) Shadow length greater than 18; from about 88 wt. % to about 99.9 wt. % water carrier; and from about 0.1 wt. % to about 5 wt. % emulsifier selected from the group consisting of anionic, non-ionic, cationic and amphoteric.
HAIR CARE COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING MATERIALS THAT MODIFY SEBUM
The present invention is directed to a hair care composition having from about 0.1 wt. % to about 12 wt. % of a 1,2-diol having a carbon chain with a length of more than 8 carbons; from about 0.1 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of a solid particle, wherein (1) the interfacial tension between the solid particle and sebum is from about 5 to about 18 dyn/cm; (2) the sebum exhibits spreading coefficient on the solid, which is greater than about 22 dyn/cm; and (3) the work of adhesion of the sebum to the solid particle, which is greater than about 75 dyn/cm. and an aqueous carrier.
Plant-based compositions and uses thereof
The present invention relates to compositions comprising a plant material and methods for using the same. The methods include extracting or removing a substance from a substrate, or remediating a substrate from a substance. The substance can comprise a hydrocarbon-containing substance, a protein, lipid, wax, fatty acid or fatty alcohol, grease, fat, oil or a combination thereof.
FORMULATIONS FOR SUBSTITUTED 3-PYRROLIDINES, COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING, AND USES OF SAME
Pharmaceutical carriers which provide an environment of physical and chemical stability comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) compound of structure I, one or more antioxidants, one or more chelators and a vehicle base comprising water and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable non-aqueous solvents, one or more absorption enhancers, one or more gelling agents and one or more pH buffering agents are described.
