An external runflat apparatus for a guide wheel system of a monorail transport system. The external runflat apparatus includes a hub member and a tread member. The tread member is connected to the hub member and includes a base member and a covering over the base member.

In a utility vehicle having a body and driven wheels rotatably fastened to the body, auxiliary driven wheels, having an outer diameter smaller than that of the driven wheels and a width equal to or smaller than that of the driven wheels, are coaxially fixed to the driven wheels.

An attachment is provided for a vehicle wheel, having a rim and a tire arranged on the rim, for enabling a driving operation with a restricted tire function in an operating state in which the attachment is fastened on the vehicle wheel. A mounting arrangement for adding an auxiliary wheel spaced from an existing wheel of a motor vehicle including three generally cylindrical spacers connected together abutting end to end, an inner spacer attached to a brake assembly member with a preexisting wheel rim compressed between an inside face of the inner spacer and the brake assembly member, an intermediate spacer attached to an outside end of the inner spacer by bolts passing through axial holes through the intermediate spacer end threaded into holes in the outside end of the inner spacer and an outer spacer connected on its inside end to the outer end of the intermediate spacer by bolts, and holding stud bolts extending out and received through holes in the auxiliary wheel rim, with lug nuts fixing the rim of the auxiliary wheel against the outside end of the outer spacer.

Wheel assemblies and strollers comprising wheel assemblies are provided. The wheel assembly can comprise a standard wheel and a modular wheel, where the standard wheel has a first diameter that is greater than the diameter of the modular wheel. The modular wheel can be fixedly or removably attached to the standard wheel. The stroller can comprise at least one rear wheel assembly located proximate to a rear of the base. The stroller can also comprise at last one front wheel assembly located proximate to a front of the base. The stroller can also comprise a pulling and/or steering mechanism.

The annular mounting unit has at least two retaining claws configured to fasten the annular mounting unit to a rim of the vehicle wheel, an annular actuating element forming part of a gear mechanism configured to convert rotation of the annular actuating element into radial movement of the retaining claws, and a drive device configured to be coupled to the annular actuating element and the actuation of which causes a rotation of the annular actuating element.
