METHODS FOR TREATING RELAXED HAIR
20220323327 · 2022-10-13 ·

Methods and kits for treating hair or preventing damage in the relaxing of hair are disclosed herein. Hair that is damaged during a relaxing treatment with hydroxide-containing relaxing agents, can be treated with formulations containing one or more active agents. The active agent formulations can be applied simultaneously with the hair relaxing formulation, or optionally applied immediately following application of the relaxing formulation, to reduce damage and breakage. Use of the active agent formulation along with a relaxing treatment can be used to control the level of curl achieved or retained in the relaxed hair, as compared to the natural amount of curl in the untreated hair.

HAIR PERM FORMING METHOD USING ELECTROLYZED WATER
20220322803 · 2022-10-13 ·

A hair perm forming method using electrolyzed water multiple times or for a predetermined period of time or more was revealed to have effects that cause very little damage to the hair to enable repeated treatments, enable perming of damaged hair and blonde hair compared with existing methods, show oxidative power higher than that of hydrogen peroxide, cause less hair damage, suppress dandruff bacteria, and significantly decrease the elution of dyes after perming. Therefore, the hair perm forming method can be advantageously used to effectively form a perm without harm to the human body. In addition, the washing of dyed and permed hair, dyed hair, and bleached hair with electrolyzed water, compared with washing with distilled water, has advantages in that the tensile strength of hair is maintained and the dye loss from the dyed hair is less.

COMPOSITIONS, KITS AND METHODS FOR STYLING HAIR FIBERS
20230111958 · 2023-04-13 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a method for styling mammalian hair fibers, including providing body, straightening, relaxing, curling, or applying any other desired modification to the shape of the hair. The method comprises applying a hair styling composition comprising at least one thermally-curable epoxy monomer to the hair, allowing the monomers to penetrate within the hair and curing such monomers to internally form a polymer able to overcome the tendency of the hair to revert to its native shape. When curing is performed while the hair is in a desired modified shape, the resulting polymers may maintain the modified shape. Suitable compositions and kits allowing to prepare the same are also disclosed.

METHODS FOR FIXING HAIR AND SKIN
20230104929 · 2023-04-06 ·

Compositions, kits, and methods for repairing bonds, for example, disulfide bonds, in hair or on the skin are disclosed. The compositions provide improved conditioning benefit for dry hair or moisturize the skin. The compositions also provide a long lasting moisturized feel and smooth feel to the skin or hair, without feeling greasy. The compositions contain one or more compounds that covalently bind at least two thiol groups in the hair or on the skin. Use of the binding compositions prevents reversion of the repaired bonds to their free thiol state, for at least one week or one month, or more, after a single application of the composition. Improved methods of styling hair, for example permanent hair waving, hair curling, hair coloring or highlighting, and hair straightening, are also provided.
