Wheel Having a Stiffening Rib
A wheel is provided including a disc face, an open end opposing the disc face, and a wheel rim extending between the disc face and the open end, the wheel rim including a rib extending radially inward from the rim and a rim section including the rib.
Rim for a wheel
A non-metallic rim for a wheel which may be used for motorised vehicles. The rim has a barrel, a first flange, a second flange, a first bead seat, a second beat seat and a primary structural component. The primary structural component extends into at least the first flange and the barrel, and the primary structural component is capable of bearing the majority of the radial and/or lateral load that is borne by the rim during usage. Additionally, the rim has at least a portion of the first bead seat spaced apart from the primary structural component and/or has a protective insert in between the outer face of the first flange and the primary structural component.
Wheel
A wheel includes a rim having inner and outer flanges. A first end of each flange is positioned axially outwardly relative to the second end. A pair of bead seats are positioned one adjacent each flange, and each has an axially outer end connected to a second end of its flange by a flange connecting portion, and an axially inner end connected to one of a pair of side parts. Each side part is positioned between a central well and one of the inner and outer flanges, and connected to the well by a well connecting portion. The outer end of each bead seat is positioned radially outwardly relative to bead seat inner end. At least one of the flanges includes an extended portion which extends radially inwardly, such that a free end of the extended portion is positioned radially inwardly relative to the first end of the respective flange
Wheel apparatus for use with vehicles
Wheel apparatus for use with vehicles are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a wheel for a vehicle. The wheel has a groove disposed on an annular wall adjacent a drop well and extending away from the drop well. The example apparatus also includes a ring positioned in the groove.
Bicycle rim for tubeless tire
Bicycle rims that allow tires to be more easily mounted in a tubeless configuration are disclosed. More specifically, a bicycle rim may control the two beads of the tire with separate bead channels for each bead and a center bridge extending between the two bead channels.
Single Piece Heavy Duty Wheel
A wheel rim including a flange profile on a tire side of an open end flange of the wheel rim, the flange profile defined by the equation:
wherein, for 0X.sub.11, aTheta1 is between 1.004 to 0.974, aTheta2 is between1.049 to 1.0182, aTheta3 is between 3.601 to 2.760, aTheta4 is between 18.791 to 25.965, and aTheta5 is between 0.185 to 0.277.
TIRE WHEEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A disc portion and a rim portion of a tire wheel are integrally formed simultaneously, with a resonance pipe formed between the disc and rim portions, by inserting a molten metal into a space formed by a mold combined with the resonance pipe by core pins.
At least one of the flanges includes an extended portion which extends radially inwardly, such that a free end of the extended portion is positioned radially inwardly relative to the first end of the respective flange.
Honeycomb rim-type wheel
The present invention relates to a wheel having a rim portion including an air-tight rim formed in a cylindrical shape, and a protruded grid portion having a plurality of first recesses by being protruded from and equally spaced around the circumference of the air-tight rim. In this way, the honeycomb rim-type wheel can be readily manufactured to have lightweight using a single casting without sacrificing durability thanks to the protruded grid portion on the circumference of the air-tight rim, thereby reducing time and cost for manufacturing by reduced usage of molten metal.
SPOKE COVER FOR A BICYCLE RIM
A rim assembly for a bicycle wheel includes a rim and a cover. The rim includes a radially inner portion disposed along an inner circumference of the rim, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall spaced apart from the first sidewall. The first sidewall and the second sidewall extend radially outward form the radially inner portion. The rim also includes a radially outer tire engaging portion disposed along an outer circumference of the rim and. The radially outer tire engaging portion extends from the first sidewall and the second sidewall, respectively. A portion of the radially outer tire engaging portion defines a well disposed between the first sidewall and the second sidewall, opposite the radially inner portion. The rim assembly also includes a cover disposed in the well of the rim. The cover includes one or more openings that extend at least partially through the cover.
