AERODYNAMIC BICYCLE RIM AND WHEEL
An aerodynamic bicycle rim comprising: a circumferential outer portion comprising a circumferential outer surface, the circumferential outer portion adapted to seat a bicycle tire; a nose; and a set of sidewalls, each sidewall extending radially from the nose of the aerodynamic bicycle rim to a corresponding transition to the circumferential outer surface to form a rim body having a maximum rim body width that is greater than a maximum width of the bicycle tire. The aerodynamic bicycle rim is operable to seat the bicycle tire so that the aerodynamic bicycle rim and the bicycle tire form an asymmetrical cross-sectional shape.
Reinforced bicycle rim
A bicycle wheel including a hub and a rim coupled to the hub. The wheel also includes a cover that is coupled to rim and that defines a bead seat engageable by a tire. The rim can have a first annular feature and the cover can have a second annular feature that is complementary to the first annular feature to attach the cover to the rim.

Bicycle Rim for Tubeless Tire
Bicycle rims that allow tires to be more easily mounted in a tubeless configuration are disclosed. More specifically, a bicycle rim may control the two beads of the tire with separate bead channels for each bead and a center bridge extending between the two bead channels.
Aircraft wheel rim with removable flange
Aircraft wheel rim in two parts, one of them a main part (1) comprising a hub (2), a disc (4) extending between the hub and an annular external portion (3) intended to accept a tire and shaped to have a flange (5) at one of its ends. The other end is shaped to accept the second part, a removable part (10) forming a flange (12) which removable part is attached to the annular external portion after the tire has been fitted. The rim has a structure for preventing the removable flange from rotating relative to the rim. The structure comprises at least one link (20) having ends, the centers of which define an axis which extends in a plane perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the rim while at the same time extending obliquely to make an angle () with respect to a radial direction, one of the ends being coupled to the main part and the other of its ends being coupled to the removable part.
BICYCLE RIM FOR TUBELESS TIRE

Wheel construction
A wheel construction includes a circular wheel rim which receives a tire, the rim having axially inner and outer portions each having a flange providing a seat for a bead. The wheel construction including a mid-portion, and side parts connecting the mid and outer portions the mid-portion including a circumferential well where the radius of the wheel rim is a minimum, at least one of the side parts including plurality of curved regions the plurality of curved regions each being immediately adjacent to each other whereby the side part continuously undulates. Each curved region provides at least a further two circumferential well. For each adjacent two curved regions, there is an effective angle of between 25 and 45 between a plane normal to the axis of the wheel and a line struck tangentially at a point of inflection between the two curved regions.
Wheel rim
A bicycle wheel rim including an outer annular portion adapted to receive a tire and an inner peripheral radial portion that has both a plurality of circumferentially arranged spoke openings and a braking surface on this portion.
RIM FOR A WHEEL
Herein is described a non-metallic rim for a wheel, the rim comprising: a barrel having first and second flanges extending radially outward from opposing edges of the barrel, and the barrel comprising a first bead seat and a second bead seat arranged axially inwardly, respectively, of the first and second flanges, wherein a primary structural component extends at least through the first flange and the barrel, the primary structural component being capable of bearing the majority of the radial and/or lateral load that, in use, would be borne by the rim a protective insert is disposed between an outer face of the first flange and the primary structural component and/or at least a portion of the first bead seat is spaced apart from the primary structural component and the primary structural component, bead seat and, if present, the protective insert are bound by a polymer matrix.
Optimized Rim For Robust Pneumatic Bicycle Wheel Functionality
A bicycle wheel rim design with high safety margin and optimized strength-to-weight is described. The rim provides a tire bead supporting platform which defines a circumferential bead seat with minimum bead seat diameter equal to the standard tire bead diameter defined for a particular size of tire. Each tire bead seat defined along the rim circumference is comprised by a pair of circumferential ridges. The circumferential ridges comprise the external sidewalls of the rim and do not include tire bead hook features, and are of optimized sidewall thickness to add load strength and lateral stiffness, and resist crushing from impact. The interior ridges are increased diameter towards the medial plane of the rim to a value greater than the specified tire bead diameter. Given this geometry, the left lateral and right lateral of each tire bead is safely constrained within the defined bead seats under a wide variety of uses.
