Bicycle hub assembly
10654314 · 2020-05-19 · ·

The bicycle hub assembly includes a hub axle, a hub body, a bearing unit, a lock member, and a tool engagement member. The bearing unit is configured to rotatably support the hub body around the hub axle with respect to the rotational center axis. The bearing unit includes an outer race, an inner race and a plurality of rolling members. The lock member prevents the inner race of the bearing unit from rotating relative to the hub axle. The tool engagement member is configured to rotate the inner race of the bearing unit relative to the hub axle.

Drive device

A drive device for driving and rotating a wheel includes an axle shaft, a hub to which rotation of the axle shaft is conveyed, a plurality of fasteners for securing the wheel to the hub, a wet brake, a housing, an oil seal, and a cover. The wet brake is configured to restrain the rotation of the axle shaft. The housing accommodates the axle shaft and the wet brake. The oil seal is disposed between the housing and a part of the hub that is disposed inward of the fasteners in a radial direction of the hub. The cover has an annular shape. The cover is disposed in a space formed between the hub and the housing, and is secured to the housing. The cover is configured to cover the plurality of fasteners.

PLANETARY GEAR DEVICE AND VEHICLE WHEEL DRIVE DEVICE

A first labyrinth seal includes: a drive shaft side annular protrusion that is formed on one of the slinger and the drive shaft seal plate and that protrudes over the circumference of the drive shaft; and a drive shaft side annular groove that is formed on the other of the slinger and the drive shaft seal plate and that recedes over the circumference of the shaft. A second labyrinth seal includes: a carrier-side annular protrusion that is formed on one of the carrier seal plate and the planetary carrier and that protrudes over the circumference of the shaft of the planetary carrier; and a carrier-side annular groove that is formed on the other of the carrier seal plate and the planetary carrier and that recedes over the circumference of the shaft.

AXLE ASSEMBLY HAVING A WHEEL END ASSEMBLY AND A GEAR REDUCTION UNIT

An axle assembly having a spindle, an axle shaft, and a wheel end assembly. The wheel end assembly includes a hub and a gear reduction unit. The gear reduction unit includes first and second side gears, a case, and a pinion gear that is rotatably disposed on a pinion pin. The case is rotatable with the hub.

BICYCLE SPROCKET ASSEMBLY
20200062033 · 2020-02-27 · ·

Example bicycle sprocket assemblies are described herein. An example sprocket assembly includes a cassette formed by a plurality of sprockets arranged in increasing diameter order from a first end to a second end of the cassette opposite the first end. The cassette has a passageway extending between a first opening in the first end and a second opening in the second end to receive a driver hub. An outboard portion of the passageway is formed between a midpoint of the cassette and the first end of the cassette. The cassette further includes a torque transmitting profile located within the outboard portion of the passageway to interface with the driver hub. The sprocket assembly also includes a bushing to be disposed within the second opening to form a non-torque transmitting interface between the second end of the cassette and the driver hub.

IN-WHEEL MOTOR DRIVE DEVICE
20200040992 · 2020-02-06 ·

In an in-wheel motor drive device, a speed reduction part is a parallel shaft gear reducer that includes a plurality of gear shafts extending in parallel to one another. One of the gear shafts is coupled with the rotation shaft of the motor part, the other one of the gear shafts is coupled with the wheel hub of the wheel hub bearing part. Remaining gear shafts decelerate the rotation of the motor part and transmit it to the wheel hub. The motor drive device includes a parking gear attached to any of the gear shafts. The parking pawl has a projection portion engaged with a recess portion of the parking gear. A movement member enables a parking pawl to move between a locking position engaged with the recess portion and an unlocking position not engaged therewith. The parking gear, the parking pawl, and movement member are housed inside a housing.
