FIXED CONSTANT VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT, AND BEARING DEVICE FOR WHEELS
A fixed type constant velocity universal joint includes an outer joint member having a cup shape, an inner joint member, which is received in the outer joint member, and transmits torque between the inner and outer joint members through intermediation of balls while allowing angular displacement, and a hollow shaft, which is coupled to the inner joint member so as to allow torque transmission. A threaded hole is formed in a bottom portion of the outer joint member along an axial direction. A recessed hole is formed to be open in a shaft end portion of the hollow shaft opposed to the threaded hole. An embedded stopper that enters the threaded hole is press-fitted into the recessed hole. The embedded stopper is retractable into the hollow shaft in a press-fitting direction.
Bearing device for wheel
A bearing device for a wheel has a wheel bearing including inner and outer rings, a hub wheel, and balls between outer raceway surfaces of the outer ring and inner raceway surfaces of the hub wheel and the inner ring. A stem section is fitted into an inner diameter of the hub wheel to couple a constant velocity universal joint to the wheel bearing through a screw fastening structure so that a shoulder portion of an outer joint member abuts against a crimped portion of the hub wheel. Projecting portions formed on the stem section are press-fitted into the hub wheel having depressed portions formed to interfere with the projecting portions, and a shape of the projecting portions is transferred to the hub wheel providing a projection and depression fitting structure in which the projecting and depressed portions are in close contact at an entire fitting contact portion therebetween.
WHEEL BEARING ARRANGEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A wheel bearing arrangement for a motor vehicle with a wheel hub and a wheel bearing for the rotatable bearing of the wheel hub at a wheel mount. The wheel bearing has an outer ring and an inner ring, which is rotatable with respect to the outer ring around an axis of rotation and is connected to the wheel hub. A wheel flange extends from the wheel hub and, as viewed in the axial direction, has a brake disk mount, which is open in the direction facing away from the outer ring and which, as viewed in longitudinal section with respect to the axis of rotation, is formed by a recess of the wheel flange, and has a support surface for a brake disk.
Steering knuckle of a utility vehicle, axle assembly and vehicle axle of a utility vehicle
A steering knuckle of a utility vehicle has a main body, a steering knuckle bearing for receiving in a rotating articulated manner a vehicle axle, a hub-type, cup-shaped receiving portion, open towards a rim of a vehicle wheel, in which portion an anti-friction bearing and a bearing journal can be received. The main body has an opening for receiving a drive shaft. The opening leads into the hub-type receiving portion. An axle assembly and a vehicle axle of a utility vehicle are also provided.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ROLLING BEARING UNIT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING VEHICLE
A method for manufacturing a rolling bearing unit is provided to periodically reciprocate a stage (38) in a vertical direction by rotating and driving a servo motor (44) while rotating a roll about a central axis of a hub main body using a roll driving motor (43) in a state in which a processing surface of the roll is pressed against other end surface of a caulking section in an axial direction. A period of the reciprocation is restricted by a relation between a rotation position of the roll about the central axis of the hub main body and an engaged state between concave sections, which are sections between a plurality of processed teeth formed in the processing surface of the roll, and a face spline tooth formed by the concave section.
Wheel bearing apparatus
A wheel bearing apparatus has a double row rolling bearing detachably united with a constant velocity universal joint. The double row rolling bearing has an outer member, an inner member, and double row rolling elements rollably disposed between the double row raceway surfaces of the outer member and inner member. The constant velocity universal joint has an outer joint member, a shoulder portion, and a shaft portion. A female thread is formed on the shaft portion. End faces of the shoulder portion and the caulked portion are formed with face splines, respectively. The face spline of the caulked portion has a portion where a tooth height of a tooth space of a portion radially outside the pitch circle diameter is set lower than that of other portions of the tooth space.
Steering joint assembly
The present disclosure relates to a steering joint assembly comprising an axle beam, a first king pin rigidly mounted on the axle beam, a steering knuckle, and a first spherical plain bearing rotatably connecting the first king pin to the steering knuckle.
WHEEL BEARING UNIT FOR A VEHICLE
A wheel bearing unit for a motor vehicle includes a wheel bearing hub with a first spur toothing, a constant velocity joint with a second spur toothing, a radially pretensionable element and a conical peripheral surface. The radially pretensionable element is disposed in a recess and protrudes radially from the recess in an unstressed state. The conical peripheral surface is disposed radially opposite the radially pretensionable element in a partially assembled state of the wheel bearing unit. During assembly of the wheel bearing unit, the radially pretensionable element applies an axially acting force to the conical peripheral surface to brace the wheel bearing hub against constant velocity joint. A method for assembling the wheel bearing unit is also disclosed.
Structure and method for coupling wheel bearings
The present invention relates to a structure and a method for coupling a wheel bearing that include a wheel hub for mounting a vehicle wheel, a hollow inner ring press-fitted into an end portion of the wheel hub, an annular outer ring disposed at a radial exterior of the wheel hub and the inner ring, and rolling elements disposed between the wheel hub or the inner ring and the outer ring, wherein the wheel hub and the inner ring are splined to each other and the inner ring and the joint member are coupled through facial spline. According to the present invention, driving torque of a constant velocity joint may be stably delivered to the wheel hub and noise may be reduced.
KINGPIN UNIT BEARING STEERABLE DRIVE AXLE ASSEMBLY
A kingpin unit bearing steerable drive axle for a powered wheel of a vehicle may include a steering knuckle having a first side and a second side, and a unit bearing configured to support a wheel and operatively connected to the first side of the steering knuckle. An axle housing is operatively connected to the second side of the steering knuckle, and the axle housing has an upper arm and a lower arm. A first kingpin connects the upper arm of the axle housing to the steering knuckle; and a second kingpin connects the lower arm of the axle housing to the steering knuckle. The steering knuckle and the axle housing are configured to receive a powered axle shaft to drive the unit bearing.
