Described herein are perfuming compositions and perfumed consumer products including, as perfuming ingredients, cyclopentanone compounds of formula

in a form of any one of its stereoisomers or a mixture thereof, where n represents 1.

The present invention is in the field of antioxidants and relates to cosmetic or pharmaceutical, preferably dermatological, compositions or homecare product comprising or consisting of a synergistic combination of a specific antioxidant and an effective amount of 1,2-heptanediol and/or 2,3-heptanediol or of a specific alkanediol or a mixture of two or more different specific alkanediols and the use of said compositions as a cosmetic, for personal care, as a pharmaceutical or homecare product, in particular for scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS), for inhibition matrix metalloproteinases expression and/or for inhibiting interleukin 8 (IL-8) secretion. Additionally, the present invention relates to the use of 1,2-heptanediol and/or 2,3-heptanediol or of a specific alkanediol or a mixture of two or more different specific alkanediols for enhancing the antioxidative effect of an antioxidant in a cosmetic or pharmaceutical, preferably dermatological, composition or homecare product, and/or for enhancing the antioxidative effect of a cosmetic or pharmaceutical, preferably dermatological, composition upon application.

The present disclosures are directed to personal care compositions comprising crosslinked silicone elastomer; personal care compositions comprising a crosslinked silicone elastomer powder that is free of surfactant; and personal care compositions that are free of a polyether compound. The present disclosures are further directed to personal care compositions comprising one or more of oils, an aqueous phase, sunscreens, film formers, waxes, emulsifiers, particulates, pigments, dyes, and preservatives.

An aqueous surfactant composition containing one or more alpha-sulfo fatty acid disalt (A) of general formula (I),

These compositions have good foaming ability, a pleasant sensory feel to the foam, good skin compatibility, and are suitable for cosmetic products, detergents, and cleaning products.

An aqueous surfactant composition containing one or more alpha-sulfo fatty acid disalt (A) of general formula (I),

R.sup.1CH(SO.sub.3M.sup.1)COOM.sup.2(I), in which the radical R.sup.1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 18 carbon atoms and the radicals M.sup.1 and M.sup.2, independently of one another, are selected from the group comprising H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium, and alkanolamine, one or more protein derivative (B2), wherein the protein derivatives (B2) are reaction products of one or more protein hydrolyzates (B1) with a substance selected from fatty acids, fatty acid chlorides, cationization reagents, and protein hydrolyzates (B1), wherein the protein hydrolyzates (B1) are proteins, peptides, and/or amino acids produced by chemical and/or enzymatic hydrolysis of proteins from plant or animal sources, and water.

These compositions have good foaming ability, a pleasant sensory feel to the foam, good skin compatibility, and are suitable for cosmetic products, detergents, and cleaning products.

The disclosed composition is preferably either an aqueous solution or a lotion that does not build up on the skin and preferably has moisturizing, healing, and/or anti-inflammatory properties that prevent or reduce the occurrence of dry skin, irritated/inflamed skin, in-grown hairs, or any combination thereof The disclosed shaving formulations preferably further include anti-microbial properties, anti-septic properties, or any combination thereof. The disclosed shaving formulations have a low viscosity such that the formulations may be applied from spray bottle or a container equipped with an atomizing head in the form of a mist onto a desired bodypart.
