An erodible anhydrous film useful in delivering active agents to a surface including keratinous surfaces, and hard or soft surfaces is disclosed. The erodible anhydrous film contains polyethylene oxide in combination with a support polymer, and optionally, other additives for skin care, fabric care, or hard surface cleaning. The erodible anhydrous film is useful when used as a comfort strip for enhancing shaving.

What are proposed are aqueous surfactant compositions comprising one or more of each of alpha-sulfo fatty acid disalts, sulfo ketones, alkyl (ether) sulfates, soaps, inorganic salts of sulfuric acid and water, where the structures of the compounds mentioned and boundary conditions that are to be observed can be found in the patent claims. These compositions have good foaming ability and pleasant sensory properties of the foam and good skin compatibility and they are suitable for cosmetic agents as well as detergents and cleaner.

Disclosed is a use of Combretum micranthum extract in cosmetics. Processes such as a solvent extraction method and a chromatographic method are specifically used, it is found that a Combretum micranthum plant or its extract has the effects of moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, post-sun repair, repair of skin barrier, repair of UV-induced DNA damage, whitening, fading spots and anti-glycation and the like. A preservative composition is described that may be used in personal care products and other products for protecting the products against bacteria and fungus during production and during use. The composition can about 3 to about 15% by weight of an organic acid; about 3 to about 15% by weight of a C.sub.8-C.sub.18 fatty alcohol; about 30 to about 60% by weight of an aromatic alcohol; and about 30 to about 60% by weight of an organic solvent.
