CASTER
A caster for equipment and furniture, the caster comprising a support element including a top element and a base element, wherein the top element includes an attachment bolt configured to attach the caster and the base element includes a wheel axle that supports at least one wheel, wherein a replaceable substantially circumferential one-piece support element cover made from a synthetic material that provides a continuous design surface is arranged at the support element.
CASTER
A caster may include a shaft, a first elastic ring, a C-shaped ring, and a second elastic ring. The shaft has one end inserted and secured in a wheel, and a first rod is extended from the other end of the shaft, and a second rod protrudes from an end of the first rod. The diameter of the first rod is larger than that of the second rod, and an end of the second rod comprises a flexible portion. The shaft only needs to be processed to form the second rod and the flexible portion, and the first elastic ring and the second elastic ring which are identical are adapted to be formed through the same mold so as to save the manufacturing cost.
Caster wheel assembly
A caster-wheel assembly (100; 200) for a vehicle, for example a wheelchair or powered wheelchair. The caster-wheel assembly comprises a switch (13) coupled to a housing (3); a castering wheel bracket (9) configured to receive a wheel (10), wherein the bracket is rotatably mounted about a caster pivot axis (28) with respect to the housing; biasing means (15) configured to provide a biasing force such that the wheel bracket is biased away from the housing; and a switch-actuating member (13) coupled to the wheel bracket such that movement of the wheel bracket towards the housing and against the biasing force causes the switch-actuating member to actuate the switch.
RETRACTABLE GUARD ASSEMBLIES
Particular embodiments disclosed herein provide a retractable guard assembly coupled to a caster of a mobile equipment, comprising a housing and one or more guards at least partially disposed in the housing. The one or more guards are independently movably coupled to the housing. The retractable guard assembly further comprises corresponding one or more biasing elements coupled to the one or more guards and to the housing for biasing the one or more guards towards a fully deployed state. When the one or more guards are in the fully deployed state, contact between a fixed object and a portion of the one or more guards disposed outside the housing causes the one or more guards to transition into a retracted state, and when the contact is removed, the corresponding one or more biasing elements cause the one or more guards to transition into the fully deployed state.
CASTER STRUCTURE
[Problem]
Related to a caster structure in which a sign groove for indicating a tire replacement timing of a caster including a wheel braked by a brake shoe is provided.
[Solution]
A caster structure in which a mark groove is provided in a tire of a wheel of a caster in which rotation of the wheel is braked by pressing a brake shoe onto the tire, characterized in that the mark groove in which a groove bottom portion is set to a predetermined depth is provided in an outer peripheral surface of the tire annularly along an outer periphery of the tire, and projecting portions for alarm each having an upper surface connecting right and left side walls forming the groove and closing the groove are provided in plural at predetermined intervals along an extending direction of the mark groove at a middle position of the depth between the groove bottom portion and a groove opening portion in the mark groove.
Side-mounted caster system for steering three-wheeled push chairs
A three-wheeled all-terrain vehicle or push chair utilizes an innovative front wheel mount, employing a side-mounted caster mechanism, for improving its pushability and steerability. Because of this approach, lifting is not required to steer the chair, and any size or type and width of wheel can be used. As a result, the invention provides a new class of all-terrain product for the disabled adult market and a rugged, truly off-road runner/jogger/hiker stroller for the young child market.
A CASTER WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND A WHEELCHAIR COMPRISING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a caster wheel assembly (1), comprising: a caster housing (3) provided with an axial channel, a spindle shaft (7) configured to be received by the channel of the caster housing (3), which spindle shaft (7) is inclined relative to the vertical plane when mounted in the caster housing (3) and the caster wheel assembly (1) is in use resting on a horizontal support, the caster housing (3) and the spindle shaft (7) being configured to rotate freely relative to each other, a caster wheel fork (9) having a wheel axle (11) configured to be arranged offset relative to a central axis of the spindle shaft (7), to provide a trail functionality, and a height adjustment mechanism (6) configured to adjust an axial position of the spindle shaft (7) relative to the caster housing (3) based on a rotational position of the spindle shaft (7) in relation to the caster housing (3).
Caster Assembly With Brake Assembly Having Low Actuation Force
A caster assembly comprises a caster wheel having an outer surface. A wheel support is coupled to the wheel to support the wheel for rotation about a rotational axis and for swiveling about a swivel axis. A brake assembly comprises a brake having a cammed wheel engaging surface shaped to engage the outer surface of the wheel and a brake actuator to move the brake relative to the wheel from an unbraked position to a braked position in which the brake limits rotation of the wheel about the rotational axis. The cammed wheel engaging surface is arranged to articulate relative to the wheel support. The cammed wheel engaging surface articulates relative to the wheel support in response to the wheel rotating about the rotational axis after the brake is initially placed in the braked position such that the cammed wheel engaging surface more deeply engages the wheel with rotation of the wheel about the rotational axis.
Directional castor structure
A castor structure includes a wheel support unit, an operation unit, a locking member, a directional member, a directional brake member, a bent elastic bar, and two resting members. The operation unit includes a drive shank formed with an annular groove which has an upper tapered face and a lower tapered face. The locking member includes a plurality of locking teeth. The directional brake member includes a plurality of directional toothed grooves. The elastic bar extends through the directional member and the annular groove. Thus, the elastic bar is stretched outward by the annular groove of the drive shank when the drive shank is moved downward, to provide a micro-adjustment effect, such that the directional toothed grooves of the directional brake member align with and exactly engage the locking teeth of the locking member.
CASTER SYSTEM FOR MOVING FURNITURE
A caster system, including a housing portion, which includes first and second side walls defining an operational space therebetween and an upper wall including a central bore. A rolling assembly is disposed in the operational space, and is rotatable relative to the housing. The rolling assembly includes an exterior rim formed of a resilient material having at least one coloring agent embedded therein. A vertical connection assembly includes a shaft adapted to be fixed to a furniture article and to extend through the central bore in the upper wall. The housing portion is rotatable about the shaft of the vertical connection assembly. The coloring agent is adapted to be luminescent or phosphorescent in a dark environment.
