An articulating carriage for moving an object across a surface having a non-planar obstruction to allow movement of the object over the obstruction. The articulating carriage has a walking beam assembly that pivotally supports a pedestal to dispose a support surface thereof above the walking beam assembly. The walking beam assembly has a base plate, wheeled casters and a pair of spaced apart hangers having articulation openings. The walking beam pivots relative to the pedestal. In one embodiment, the pedestal is pivotally mounted on the walking beam assembly. In another embodiment, a pair of walking beam assemblies are connected with a crosstube that pivotally supports the pedestal. In another embodiment, a major crosstube assembly connects a pair of crosstubes to define a carriage having four walking beams. In yet another embodiment, a compound crosstube assembly connects pairs of major crosstube assemblies to define a carriage having eight walking beams.

CART STABILIZATION SYSTEM, ROLLING CART ELEMENTS AND METHODS OF USING SAME

A cart stabilization system and rolling cart elements for robotic surgery and other medical instrumentation are disclosed. The cart stabilization system includes a base and lifting caster systems coupled to a bottom portion of the base. Each lifting caster system includes a rolling element, a swivel foot assembly moveably coupled to the rolling element; and a hydraulic mounting base coupled to a portion of the swivel foot assembly. Methods of assembling a lifting caster system and for using a cart stabilization system are also disclosed.

Caster wheel assembly

A caster wheel assembly includes a wheel mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis within a wheel carriage such that the wheel rotates about the horizontal axis with respect to the wheel carriage. The wheel carriage is positioned within a retention ring such that the wheel carriage can rotate about the vertical axis with respect to the retention ring. The wheel carriage also has an opening on the bottom surface such that the wheel can make contact with the ground. The horizontal axis about which the wheel rotates is offset from the vertical axis about which the wheel carriage rotates. An outer carriage may be included such that the outer carriage is positioned within the retention ring and the wheel carriage is positioned within the outer carriage. The outer carriage would be able to rotate about the vertical axis with respect to both the retention ring and the wheel carriage.

An operating shaft rises and falls by abutting against a cam surface of a cam rotatably built into the upper part of a stem. A swivel-preventing plate part is fixed to the lower end of the operating shaft. An engagement member is fixed to a support yoke and regulates the swiveling by engaging with the swivel-preventing plate part. A brake shoe part is fixed to the lower part of the swivel-preventing plate part and brakes by abutting against a treat surface of a wheel when the operating shaft falls. A link cam causes a link cam to pivot and causes a brake plate to rise and fall by connected to the brake shoe part. A protruding part for braking, by displacement of the brake plate, is capable of engaging with and disengaging from an annular engagement receiving part formed in the inner periphery of the wheel.

The pivot for castor wheel for cleaning equipment or the like, with new elements structured to absorb and counteract the stresses to which the wheel is generally subjected during use, allows cleaning equipment and the like to be used in areas and sectors compatible with the materials used for the various parts that compose it.

Roller

The invention relates to a roller (1), preferably comprising two wheels (2) and a locking device, an activating part (10) acting on the locking device for releasing or locking, and the activating part (10) being movable by a drive, a movement of a transmission part (7) that is generated by the drive being transmitted via spring force to the activating part (10) for moving same, and a spring (8) being supported on the transmission part. In order to provide a roller that allows an advantageous constructional design, it is proposed that a support region is formed for the spring (8) and/or the spring (9) and/or the compression spring (44) on the activating part (10), through which region the transmission part (7) can pass.

Caster structure

A caster structure has a screw hole formed at the middle of a carrying plate and provided for passing, screwing, and pressing a screw, and then screwing and pressing tightly with a nut, so that the installed screw has a smaller thickness to lower the center of gravity of an installed wheel in addition to giving a dual nut fixing effect. The caster has bearings which are mainly thrust bearings for bearing a relatively larger axial gravity to prevent the bearing from being damaged by gravity and the balls from falling out. The bearings are limited and positioned securely to prevent installation gaps and dusts, to maintain a flexible rotation of the caster.

UNIVERSAL WHEEL
