A transportable carton assembly is disclosed that includes a carton defining a bottom rear corner edge portion having a pair of longitudinally spaced apart apertures formed therein, and an elongated shield retained within the bottom rear corner edge portion of the carton and including a pair of longitudinally spaced apart wheels positioned to extend through the longitudinally spaced apart apertures formed in the bottom rear corner edge portion of the carton for transporting the carton over a surface.

A compact storage rack system is disclosed. In an example implementation, the compact storage rack system includes a track assembly and a movable shelving assembly including a first set of wheels transitionally connected to the track assembly. The first set of wheels can transition along the track assembly between a first position corresponding to a retracted position and a second position corresponding to an extended position.

A rolling device for a device to enable the moving of the device along a surface comprises a wheel axle carrying a wheel, a lead screw with a nut, at least one axle support member rotatably connected in one end in a fixed pivot point and in the other end connected to the lead screw nut, and a drive motor connected to the lead screw to rotate the lead screw for displacing the lead screw nut and thereby displacing the wheel between an extended position and a retracted position. Each axle support member supports an end portion of the wheel axle, and the wheel has two side faces. The invention concerns a rolling device for a device to enable moving the device along a surface. The rolling device comprises a housing arranged for attachment to the device and a wheel support assembly arranged in the housing for carrying a wheel. The wheel support assembly comprises a wheel carrying member arranged for connection with the wheel, and a retainer element arranged for connection with the housing. The wheel carrying member comprises a deflective rib with an protrusion for releasable engagement with a groove of the retainer element to select the release or attachment between the wheel carrying member and the retainer element.

A crane for lifting and transporting loads includes a handling element, for supporting and handling the loads, and a chassis for transferring the loads of the crane onto a support surface by a contact arranged in contact with the surface, such as wheels. A drive transmission, such as a drive wheel, moves the crane on the support surface. The drive transmission is capable of translating relative to the chassis to adjust the force exerted by the drive transmission upon the support surface. The crane includes a sensor for detecting the force exerted by the drive transmission upon the support surface; and a control unit configured for adjusting the position of the drive transmission relative to the chassis, based on the detection of the sensor.
