Luggage having a brakeable wheel
A luggage includes a pull handle unit, a pressing unit mounted in the pull handle unit, a driving unit connected with the pressing unit, a transmission unit connected with the driving unit, and a wheel unit connected with the transmission unit. The pull handle unit includes an outer pipe and an inner pipe. The wheel unit includes a single wheel. When the inner pipe is moved downward in the outer pipe, the wheel is braked and cannot be moved anymore, and when the inner pipe is moved upward in the outer pipe, the wheel is unlocked and is moved freely. Thus, when the inner pipe is retracted into the outer pipe, the wheel is braked temporarily, such that the luggage is locked and cannot be moved when not in use.
Luggage having two brakeable wheels
A luggage includes a pull handle unit, a pressing unit mounted in the pull handle unit, a driving unit connected with the pressing unit, a transmission unit connected with the driving unit, and a wheel unit connected with the transmission unit. The pull handle unit includes an outer pipe and an inner pipe. The wheel unit includes two wheels and a brake member. When the inner pipe is moved downward in the outer pipe, the two wheels are braked and cannot be moved anymore, and when the inner pipe is moved upward in the outer pipe, the two wheels are unlocked and moved freely. Thus, when the inner pipe is retracted into the outer pipe, the two wheels are braked by the brake member, such that the luggage is locked and cannot be moved when not in use.
Patient Transport Apparatus With Motion Dampening
A patient transport apparatus is provided for use with a retainer of a transport vehicle. The patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure comprising a patient support surface to support a patient. An engagement member is coupled to the support structure and arranged to engage the retainer when unloading the patient transport apparatus from the transport vehicle. A dampener is operable in a standby state or a resistance state such that the dampener provides increased resistance to movement of the patient transport apparatus in the resistance state as compared to the standby state. The resistance state of the dampener is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a first direction and the standby state is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a second direction, opposite the first direction.
Systems and methods for facilitating movement of a patient transport apparatus
Systems and methods for facilitating movement of a patient transport apparatus. The patient transport apparatus has a support structure and a patient support surface. Caster assemblies are coupled to the support structure to roll about a roll axis and swivel about a swivel axis. A control system is configured to control brake mechanisms, steer-lock mechanisms, and pre-swivel mechanisms of the caster assemblies based on one or more inputs.
Brake device for caster
An object to provide a brake device for a caster that has a simple structure, provides reliable braking, has no risk of damaging the circumferential surface of a roller, and has high durability. The brake device for a caster includes: a plurality of projecting parts formed concentrically at regular intervals on opposite side-surfaces of a roller in a direction in parallel with the axis, and levers set across the roller at both side-panels of a fork so as to be opposed to the projecting parts, and a claw formed at a tip of each of the levers so as to be opposed to the projecting parts, wherein the levers are operated so that the claw is engaged with a concave part formed between the projecting parts, thereby locking rotation of the roller.
Interlocking Pallet with Wheels and Breaking System
A pallet with wheels and breaking system, that can be interlocked with other pallets. The pallet has five sets of wheels that can be locked or unlocked using the fork rubber or pressing a switch. The wheel breaking system includes a fork breaking rod, wheel transfer gear wheel, wheel transfer rod, wheel braking pin, wheel transfer gear wheel bearing, wheel rotating bearing, and wheel breaking pin springs. The pallet has locking rings around the perimeter, allowing the pallet to interlock with other pallets by pressing a switch. The locking ring locking system includes a locking ring transfer gear wheel, locking ring transfer rod guide, locking ring transfer rod, locking ring ball engaging rod, locking ring ball guide, locking ring ball pusher, and locking ring ball. The pallet further includes corner bumpers, load stabilizers, wheel insets, and shelf rack bars that can be extended for additional support and shelving units.
Single wheel caster
The invention relates to a single wheel caster with a support element including a top element and a base element which includes at least one support arm, wherein the base element receives at least one hub for a wheel, wherein a thread protector is arranged on the hub, wherein a fixation device is arranged between the wheel and the support element. It is an object of the invention to provide a novel single wheel caster with substantially reduced assembly complexity. The object is achieved in that the locking device is arranged without additional fastening elements in an interior of the support element between at least one inner surface of the support element and at least on contact surface arranged rotationally fixated at the wheel, wherein the contact surface firmly contacts the locking device when the caster is assembled.
CASTER BRAKING SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY
The invention provides a caster having a wheel and a wheel lock assembly that is configured to lock the wheel against rotation about a first axis. The wheel lock assembly allows the caster to move between a locked configuration, in which the wheel is engaged by a detent of the wheel lock assembly, and an unlocked configuration, in which the detent is spaced from the wheel. In certain embodiments, the caster moves between its locked and unlocked configurations in response to rotation of a rotatable cam. Other embodiments provide a wheel lock assembly including a rotatable track wall, which comprises a generally cylindrical wall configured to rotate about a second axis. In such embodiments, the caster is configured such that the rotatable track wall rotates about the second axis when the caster moves between locked and unlocked configurations.
CASTER WITH A BREAKING UNIT
A caster includes a caster unit and at least one braking unit. The caster unit includes a receptacle, a wheel shaft disposed through the receptacle, a wheel assembly sleeved on the wheel shaft and rotatable relative to the receptacle, and a spring assembly which acts on the receptacle and the wheel shaft. The receptacle is movable relative to the wheel assembly in a vertical direction. The braking unit includes a surrounding teeth structure formed on the wheel assembly and having a hardness ranging from 65 to 75 on a Shore D scale, and a braking piece mounted on the receptacle. The braking piece includes a braking surface in form of a curve surface having a hardness ranging from 40 to 46 on the Shore D scale to be engaged with the surrounding teeth structure to retard rotation of the wheel assembly.
Caster with Compliant Brake Ring or Brake Block
A caster hub structure has an outward facing brake ring with a tooth profile on its outer surface. A brake block with a tooth profile on its outer surface is engageable and disengageable with the brake ring. The brake block material may be harder than the brake ring material, or the brake ring material may be hardness the brake block material, depending upon the application. The brake block tooth profile is configured to slip with the brake ring tooth profile at a first wheel rotational speed when the brake block is engaged with the brake ring, and the brake block tooth profile is configured to interlock with the brake ring tooth profile at a second wheel rotational speed when the brake block is in the engaged with the brake ring, the first speed being higher than the second speed.
