Wheel assembly for an infant support apparatus
A wheel assembly for an infant support apparatus includes a wheel mount, a wheel pivotally connected with the wheel mount about a pivot axis, and a brake member assembled with the wheel for movement between a braking state and a release state, the brake member when in the release state being rotatable with the wheel relative to the wheel mount, and the brake member when in the braking state engaging with the wheel mount to block rotation of the wheel relative to the wheel mount.
FORM-FIT ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR A CASTER
A formfitting securing apparatus for a caster includes a running wheel, a fork and a rotation-blocking engagement part, for rotationally blocking the running wheel of the caster with respect to a geometric impeller wheel axis. A first spring also acts on the rotation-blocking engagement part in order to move it from an initial position into an engagement position. The first spring is formed by a lever arm of a lever part, a second spring can, with the movement of the rotation-blocking engagement part into the engagement position, be tensioned for the return movement back into the initial position, and the first spring is stronger than the second spring. Furthermore, a fork-shaped ram part can have ram extensions of different lengths, with only one ram extension being arranged to act on the lever part.
Patient transport apparatus with electro-mechanical braking system
A patient transport apparatus includes a base, a patient support deck, a plurality of wheels, a plurality of brakes, and an electro-mechanical braking system. The electro-mechanical braking system includes a linkage, a manual actuator, and an electrical braking assembly. The linkage is operatively coupled to the brakes to place the brakes in a braked state, a released state, or other state. The manual actuator moves the linkage manually to place the brakes in one of the states. The electrical braking assembly includes an actuator assembly that moves the linkage with electrical power to place the brakes in one of the states.
CASTER WITH HORIZONTAL BRAKING
A caster with horizontal braking includes a connecting base, a wheel rotatably connected to the connecting base, and a brake assembly including a movable plate slidably connected to the connecting base and a rotary plate. The movable plate is provided with a brake pad at an end and a first abutting plate with a limiting portion thereon, and is rotatably connected to the connecting base. A second abutting plate fitted with the first abutting plate is arranged on the rotary plate. When the rotary plate is rotated to cause the second abutting plate to push the first abutting plate to move backward, the brake pad moves backward to abut against the wheel, one end of the second abutting plate is abutted against the limiting portion, the force applied by the wheel to the brake pad opposites the force applied by the second abutting plate to the limiting portion.
Single Action Brake and Swivel Lock for Caster
A caster has a mount, a housing, a horn rotatable relative to the housing about a swivel axis, spaced apart forks on lateral sides of the horn, a wheel assembly disposed between the forks, a swivel locking ring disposed in the horn, and a braking member having a bridging portion and first and second plunger portions projecting away from the bridging portion. The bridging portion has a tooth rack extending outward. The first and second plunger portions project from the bridging portion in a direction opposite the tooth rack and have brake blocks. A brake lever arm is pivotally connected with the housing and movable between engaged and disengaged positions. An engagement pin extends through the housing and the interior of the horn and has first and second ends. The first end is connected with the brake lever arm, and the second end abuts the braking member bridging portion.
Caster wheel brake system
A caster wheel brake system for a mobile support system such as a cart or other wheeled structure is operable to selectively secure caster wheels against rolling rotation. The system includes a caster wheel assembly and a braking mechanism mounted nearby. A pair of brake actuation inputs, such as handles or levers, can be secured to the cart and independently operated to rotate a rotator link, which in turn rotates a brake-actuating link. Rotation of the brake-actuating link deactivates the braking mechanism to allow rolling rotation of the caster wheels. Optionally, the operation of one of the handles to deactivate the braking mechanism has no effect on the other handle.
UNIVERSAL WHEEL
The present invention discloses a universal wheel. A roller is rotationally connected to a mounting base. One side of the roller is provided with an annular channel and limiting grooves. The mounting base is provided with an arc-shaped elastic limiting through hole, a locking position, an unlocking position, and a positioning part. A middle position of a brake lever is pivotally connected to the mounting base, with one end for driving and the other end for a brake rod to pass through and slide and push the positioning part, enabling the brake rod to switch between the locking position and unlocking position. The present invention simplifies an assembly process while implementing effective braking.
Patient transport apparatus with motion dampening
A patient transport apparatus is provided for use with a retainer of a transport vehicle. The patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure comprising a patient support surface to support a patient. An engagement member is coupled to the support structure and arranged to engage the retainer when unloading the patient transport apparatus from the transport vehicle. A dampener is operable in a standby state or a resistance state such that the dampener provides increased resistance to movement of the patient transport apparatus in the resistance state as compared to the standby state. The resistance state of the dampener is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a first direction and the standby state is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a second direction, opposite the first direction.
CASTER FOR CARRIER
A caster for a carrier for a carrier mounted on a lower surface of a carrier receiving part, includes: a base part mounted on a lower surface of the carrier receiving part; a body rotatably mounted on the base part based on a rotation shaft; a wheel mounted on the body; a restraining part mounted on the body and selectively restraining the wheel by pressing by the base part rotated when pressing the carrier receiving part down or inclining the carrier receiving part; and a first restoration spring provided between the base part and the body to restore the rotated base part to its original position, where a first shaft mounting hole in which the rotation shaft is mounted is formed in one side of the body and a fixing hole is formed in an upper surface of the other side of the body.
