Zero-turn lawn-mower with controllably restrictable movements of front wheels
A Zero-turn lawn-mower that selectively restricts movement of front wheels to achieve controlled movement while on slope is disclosed herein. Lawn-mower includes a mower frame, at least one front wheel disposed underneath mower frame, at least one cam, an actuating rod and a dawg. The cam is fixedly connected to mower frame and in the vicinity of front wheel and is further defined with a notch. Actuating rod of said lawn mower is swivelably connected to mower frame and operable by a driver, typically by a rod pedal. Dawg extends from actuating rod to selectively engage with notch to restrict angular movement of front wheel and selectively disengage from notch to enable angular movement of front wheel. This provides the user to control drift of the mower on an angled or inclined surface. Furthermore, A spring is provided at other end of pedal to reduce tension and provide smooth rotation of actuation rod.
Universal wheel
The universal wheel includes a base member, a vertical axle, a lift member, and a wheel member. The lift member adjusts the universal wheel's height. A first driving element, a second driving element, and an engaging element are configured on the base member and the wheel member. The first driving element for turning the base member laterally within 360 degrees. The second driving element is for rolling the wheel member around its lateral axle. The engaging element couples or decouples an external shaft with the lateral axle of the wheel member. As such, through the first and second driving elements, and the engaging element, the universal wheel can control a height from the ground and can be rolled forward, laterally, obliquely, turned 360 degrees when standing in place, or in a combination of these operations.
PERSON SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH BRAKING SYSTEM
A person support apparatus includes a base frame with a plurality of caster wheel assemblies, each of the caster wheel assemblies including a caster brake actuator movable between a total braking position and a non-braking position. A linkage system is coupled to the caster brake actuators for controlling the caster brake actuators and is operable to move the caster brake actuators between their total braking positions and their non-braking positions. The linkage system is configured to compensate for tolerances in the linkage system wherein the linkage system can control the caster brake actuators to simultaneously move between their total braking positions and their non-braking positions.
Wheel alignment for line striper
A line striper comprises a sprayer secured to a frame, and a guided wheel assembly rotatably mounted to the frame. The guided wheel assembly includes an adjustment disk with screw notches along its outer diameter, an alignment plate coaxially surrounding and abutting the adjustment disk, alignment screws threaded through the alignment plate to engage screw notches on the adjustment disk, and an antirotation lock. The screws set a rotational alignment of the alignment plate relative to the adjustment disk, and the adjustment disk is coupled via a spindle axle to a guide wheel. The antirotation lock engages a locking feature on the alignment plate, thereby fixing the orientation of the guide wheel relative to the wheeled frame at an angle determined by the rotational alignment.
CONTROLLER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CASTERS ATTACHED TO A MOVABLE PART
A controller and a method for controlling casters attached to a movable part such as a hospital bed, for switching the castors between a state in which the castor is pivot locked and rotationally blocked, and a state in which there is neither a pivot locking nor a rotational blocking, additionally switchable into a state in which the caster is only pivot locked, actuatable electrically and also manually, movement sensor. Multiple switching states may be automatically and sequentially assumed in a predetermined sequence, a first switching state in which there is neither a pivot locking nor a rotational blocking, which a second switching state, in which one or more or all castors are pivot locked, however not rotationally blocked, and finally a switching state, in which all switchable casters are again pivot locked and rotationally blocked.
Lockable wheels and subject support lifts including a lockable wheel
A subject support lift includes a mast portion, a base portion, and a lockable wheel assembly coupled to the base portion. The lockable wheel assembly includes an axle member, a lockable wheel coupled to the axle member, and a pivot member pivotally coupled to the lockable wheel and defining an axis extending in a vertical direction, where the lockable wheel is rotatable about the axis defined by the pivot member. A locking member is coupled to one of the pivot member or the lockable wheel, the locking member being repositionable between a locked position, in which the locking member engages the other of the pivot member or the lockable wheel, and an unlocked position, in which the locking member is spaced apart from the other of the pivot member or the lockable wheel.
Wheelchair for specialized sports applications
A wheelchair can comprise: a frame comprising an upper portion and a lower portion that is coupled to the upper portion so that the upper portion is vertically adjustable with respect to the lower portion. A pair of drive wheels can be coupled to the frame. A plurality (e.g., a pair) of casters are coupled to the frame. Each caster can have a respective swivel axis. At least one caster of the plurality of casters can be configured to be locked to prevent swiveling about its respective swivel axis and unlocked to enable swiveling about its respective swivel axis.
Steered Caster Wheel Systems
Steered caster wheel systems that include a disengagement system to enable a caster wheel steering mode and non-caster wheel steering mode are disclosed. In some embodiments, the caster wheels are mounted to a subframe that may be independently suspended from the chassis of a vehicle such as a self-propelled vehicle.
Self-Propelled Vehicles Including A Differential System
Self-propelled vehicles that include swiveling caster wheels and independent drive wheels are disclosed. The self-propelled vehicles are selectively steered in a caster wheel steering mode or a drive wheel steering mode. The vehicle includes a differential system that may include a differential valve that allows hydraulic fluid to be transferred between the left and right drive systems. The differential system may be operable during the caster wheel steering mode such as when the vehicle is driven for transport between sites.
Mobile component having a roller bearing unit
A mobile component having a roller bearing unit, in particular a mobile component having a steering roller, a roller, in particular a drive roller, being rotationally braced in a pivot unit, which is supported via a pivot bearing on the frame of the mobile component, the axes of rotation of the two pivot bearings in particular being aligned perpendicularly with respect to each other, the axis of rotation of the pivot bearing for pivoting parallel to the direction of the normal of the normal of the driving surface of the mobile component touched by the roller, a drum brake being developed on the roller, the actuation of the drum brake being able to be brought about by an electromagnet, which is connected on the frame of the mobile component, the drum brake being able to be actuated by the electromagnet via a wedge gear.
