SUSPENSION SYSTEM

A suspension system having a knuckle that rotatably supports a wheel end assembly. The knuckle may include a first platform that may have a toe link mount, a second platform that may have a stabilizer bar mount, a brake torque plate that may facilitate mounting of a brake subsystem, or combinations thereof.

MOBILE PLATFORM FOR MATERIALS TRANSPORT

A mobile platform for materials transport is provided. The platform includes a pair of suspension devices that in turn include a pair of rocker beams which can be rotated between two positions: a first position where central wheels attached thereto can be used to drive the platform; and a second position where the central wheels are retracted and the platform can be rolled on end wheels without the friction of the central wheels, and an associated drive system, impeding movement of the platform. Furthermore, data from sensors and/or load cells can be used to control movement of the platform; specifically shifts in load distribution and/or sensed forces at the suspension devices can indicate that a load (and/or materials) has shifted and/or is shifting and movement of the platform is adjusted accordingly, for example to prevent the platform and/or the load (and/or materials) from tipping.

SNOWBLOWER WHEEL ATTACHMENT

A method to elevate a snowblower that includes the steps of: assembling a wheelbase, wherein said wheelbase includes a first wheel and a second wheel placed on a horizontal axle and a vertical post extending therefrom; inserting bolts through a mounting platform attached to the vertical post; and securing the bolts to a forward underside of the snowblower. During use of the snowblower, a user removes the bolts and wheelbase. The present invention further relates to a removable wheelbase that includes: a horizontal axle; a first wheel and a second wheel on the horizontal axle; a vertical post extending from the horizontal axle; a mounting platform at the top of the vertical post; and an attachment means inserted through the mounting platform. The mounting platform may further include a first mounting pad and a second mounting pad.

Twist beam axle assembly with lateral adjustability

A twist axle assembly (20) of a vehicle includes a pair of trailing arms (22) and a twist beam (24) having a base portion (46) extending along an axis (A) between first and second twist beam ends (42, 44). The twist beam (24) includes a pair of side walls (48) extending downwardly from the base portion (46) and each disposed in spaced relationship with the trailing arms (22). At least one mounting bracket (54) extends from a first mounting bracket end (56) disposed in abutting relationship with a respective trailing arm (22) to a second mounting bracket end (58) disposed in overlaying relationship the side walls (48) of the twist beam (24) for allowing the mounting bracket to axially slip or slide along the side walls (48) of the twist beam (24) and provide for lateral or axial adjustment of the twist axle assembly (20) during the manufacturing process.

APPARATUS FOR SHIELDING VEHICLE COMPONENT
20200025275 · 2020-01-23 ·

A shielding element for protecting at least one suspension and/or driveline component. The shielding element is connected to a suspension component. The suspension component extends in a first axial direction and includes a mounting portion at one end for mounting the suspension component to a vehicle. The suspension component further includes a second end for mounting the suspension component to a knuckle. The second mounting portion is capable of receiving a suspension mounting component, which may be or include a ball joint. The shielding element is located near the second mounting portion. The shielding element extends from a surface of the suspension component in a second direction different from the first direction. The portion of the protection element that extends in the second direction may protect at least one of the mounting point, the suspension mounting component, and the driveline component from contact with debris.

Reinforced axle joint

An axle and wheel end assembly includes a tubular axle housing with an annular end surface. The axle and wheel end assembly also includes a spindle with an annular end surface welded to the annular end surface of the tubular axle housing at an attachment periphery. The axle and wheel end assembly further includes reinforcing structure fixed to the tubular axle housing and spindle. The reinforcing structure is located to encompass at least a portion of the attachment periphery.

TRAILER FOR TRANSPORTING COMBINE HEADERS

Trailers or other towed apparatuses are used to transport agricultural equipment. This can include combine heads, such as the heads for corn or soybean. The combine heads are extended on the trailer in an elongated manner that is in the longitudinal length or direction of the travel of the trailer. Due to the length of the trailer, it is advantageous to construct the trailer out of multiple segments that are bolted together to for an elongated unit. The trailer includes one or more rear axles that can be position-adjustable to adjust the wheelbase for the trailer and to account for equipment of various sizes. A rear hitch at the distal end of the trailer allows for the trailer to connect to and/or haul additional equipment.
