Lightweight pusher/tag axle
A non-driven axle for a vehicle or a trailer is provided. The non-driven axle includes a first arm portion, a second arm portion, and a central portion. The first arm portion is for rotatably mounting a first wheel hub. The second arm portion is for rotatably mounting a second wheel hub. The second arm portion is on an axial end of the central portion opposite the first arm portion. The central portion is between the first arm portion and the second arm portion and may be substantially arch-shaped or substantially ring-shaped. The substantially arch-shaped central portion includes a main portion and a radially inner portion. The substantially ring-shaped central portion includes a main portion and an inner portion. The non-driven axle reduces a weight of a vehicle or trailer while capable of being lifted without interfering with an operation of a drive axle.
AXLE SYSTEM
Axle system for use in utility vehicles includes a suspension arm and a clamping unit, wherein the clamping unit has a base element and a clamping element, wherein the base element is substantially arranged on a first side and the clamping element on the second side of the suspension arm lying opposite the first side, wherein the base element is configured to be secured to an axle element, and wherein a tensile element is configured to apply a tensile force between the clamping element and the base element, such that the suspension arm is held by force fit between the clamping element and the base element.
Wheel axle assembly with stabilizing braces
A releasable wheel assembly is presented. The releasable wheel assembly includes a base plate and a bracket coupled to the base plate. The bracket includes multiple bosses and each boss includes a hole. An axle passing through the hole of each boss. The axle includes a circumferential groove adjacent to each end of the axle. Additionally, a brace is coupled to the base plate and the axle.
AXLE BEAM FOR A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
The present disclosure relates to an axle beam, in particular an axle bridge, for a motor vehicle, preferably a commercial vehicle. The axle beam has a first axle beam shell and a second axle beam shell which is connected, in particular welded, to the first axle beam shell in order to configure a tubular body. The tubular body has an inner circumferential face with a plurality of flat sections which form a non-round cross section of the tubular body. The axle beam has a reinforcing component which has a non-round cross section, is arranged within the tubular body, and bears at least partially against the flat sections of the inner circumferential face of the tubular body.
DUAL-DIRECTION ACTUATING AXLE ASSEMBLY WITH ENHANCED DURABILITY
A dual-direction actuating axle assembly is coupled to a vehicle's pair of wheels and orbital head of a steering column. The axle assembly includes a beam, a first steering knuckle coupled to the beam's first end and a second steering knuckle coupled to the beam's second end, the first and second steering knuckles coupled to the wheels, an actuating assembly coupled to the beam and having an outer cylinder, a rod slidably mounted to the outer cylinder and a piston coupled to the rod, the rod coupled to the first and second steering knuckles. The vehicle's steering column is maneuvered to actuate the piston and rod in a first direction to pivotably adjust the pair of steering knuckles in a first direction. The vehicle's steering column is maneuvered to actuate the piston and rod in a second direction to pivotably adjust the pair of steering knuckles in a second direction.
Tractor
To obtain a front axle frame having a high degree of strength appropriate to heavy load tasks, without resulting in a decrease in productivity or a drastic rise in costs. In a tractor that includes a front axle frame supporting a front axle case, the front axle frame is configured by a cast metal member having a support portion on a bottom of the front axle frame, the support portion supporting the front axle case.
Wheel axle assembly
A releasable wheel assembly includes a bracket having multiple bosses, each boss including a hole that receives an axle. A pair of wheels are mounted on the axle and a pair of locking caps fit over respective ends of the axle, the locking caps each including a clip for engaging the axle at a circumferential groove to prevent movement of the locking cap along the axle. The wheel assembly can be mounted to a carry bag or other storage unit by mounting the bracket to the storage unit, where the wheels and axle can be easily removed from the bracket.
BRAKE MOUNTING HARDWARE WITH INTEGRATED AXLE VENT SYSTEM
A heavy-duty vehicle brake hardware mounting component that includes an integrated axle vent system and optional air supply line connector. The brake hardware mounting component includes a body with a central opening disposed around and rigidly attached to an axle of the vehicle. An annular groove is formed within the central opening and is in fluid communication with an axle opening. The air supply line connector is attached within an opening formed in the body and extends through the groove and into the axle opening, and enables attachment of and fluid communication between components of a tire inflation system within the axle and an external air source. Pressurized air from within the axle can flow through the axle opening, around the air supply line connector, through the annular groove, through a check valve in fluid communication with the groove, and to atmosphere to relieve air pressure build-up within the axle.
Axle assembly
An axle assembly having an axle, a brake spider and a bearing collar. The axle may have first and second transition regions. The first transition region may extend between first and second cylindrical portions of the axle. The second transition region may extend between second and third cylindrical portions of the axle. The brake spider may be disposed on the second cylindrical portion. The bearing collar may be disposed on the second transition region.
