SPACER
20190143750 · 2019-05-16 ·

A spacer for coupling a wheel to a rotary output of a vehicle, the spacer including two connectors fixed relative to a respective first and second end of the spacer, the connectors each having a matching first array of fittings to engage a rim of the wheel, whereby to allow wheel gauge adjustment by disconnecting the wheel from a first one of the connectors, sliding the wheel along a body of the spacer and connecting the wheel to a second one the other connectors. The invention also relates to a method of adjusting wheel gauge on the spacer including releasing a wheel from one of the connectors, sliding the wheel along the body of the spacer and attaching the spacer to the other connector. The invention also relates to a spacer for supporting a wheel relative to a rotary output of a vehicle, the spacer being formed of modular sections that are separately attached by fasteners that connect only between adjacent sections to allow for independent addition and removal of sections to vary the length of the spacer.

Self-propelled agricultural machine having adjustable axle distance for working and transport positions

The invention relates to a self-propelled agricultural machine, for example a self-propelled merger, said self-propelled agricultural machine being provided with at least one motor, at least one elongated unit for carrying out, in use, an agricultural operation on the land, a first wheel axle and a second wheel axle located at a distance from the first wheel axle, wherein the first wheel axle and/or the second wheel axle is/are to be driven by the motor for moving the agricultural machine, wherein the elongated unit is movable from a transport position to a working position and vice versa, so that the maximum width of the self-propelled agricultural machine in the unit's transport position is less than in the unit's working position.

Slider to frame construction

An agricultural machine such as a high clearance sprayer is provided with a frame capable of supporting wheels at a variable tread width. The frame includes a pair of cross members, both of which have slider receivers. The machine also includes a first axle slider for a first side and a second axle slider for a second side. The machine may also have a slider to frame connection arrangement that includes a reduced friction zone at the slider receivers that facilitate telescopic movement of the axle sliders. The slider to frame connection may also have at least one fixed slider wear pad in a fixed position within the reduced friction zone and at least one movable slider wear pad movably arranged within the reduced friction zone.

Driveable vehicle unit

A vehicle (100) for use in the field of visual effects is provided, which has at least one adjustable dimension. The vehicle comprises a frame (101) and a plurality of wheels (110, 120, 130, 140), the wheels being adjustably attached to the frame such that the distance between a pair of wheels can be adjusted either manually or automatically. This adjustment may be a continuous adjustment. The vehicle may also comprise tracking markers which generate data in order to facilitate the production of a digital model. The vehicle may also comprise a camera (155) having a 360 degree field of view. The data captured by the camera can be used in the digital effects process to create realistic reflections of the surrounding environment on the digital model.

VEHICLE WHEEL POSITIONING AND STEERING APPARATUS
20190039430 · 2019-02-07 ·

A vehicle wheel positioning and steering apparatus particularly useful for aerial work platforms comprises a support chassis and chassis support legs pivotally connected to the chassis. Steerable wheel assemblies are operably connected at ends of the support legs and powered actuators are operably connected to the chassis and legs for pivotally moving the legs and wheel assemblies relative to the chassis between transport and working positions. Variable length linear wheel steering actuators comprise one link of four bar parallelogram steering linkages between the chassis and wheel assemblies and the support legs each comprise second bars of the four bar parallelogram steering linkages.

Telescoping Axle For An Agricultural Applicator
20190023071 · 2019-01-24 ·

A telescoping axle arrangement is provided for an agricultural applicator having a frame supported above a ground surface by a ground engaging wheel operatively connected to the frame by the telescoping axle arrangement. First and second slidingly engaging axle elements adapted for operative connection between the frame and the wheel, provide extension and retraction of the axle along a longitudinal axis of the axle. The second axle element includes a longitudinally extending closed-ended retention track. An axle retention element is fixedly attachable to and protrudes from the first axle element into operative engagement with the closed-ended retention track in the second axle element in such a manner that the axle retention element contacts the closed end of the retention track at a maximum permissible extension of the telescoping axle arrangement to thereby preclude further sliding extension of the second axle element with respect to the first axle element.

Low gravity all-surface vehicle

Vehicles are disclosed which have a lower center of gravity than existing all-terrain, amphibious, and unmanned ground vehicles due to the location of propulsion units and other vehicle components inside the wheels of the vehicle. The vehicles can climb over large obstacles yet are also able to corner at high speeds. The vehicles can be configured for direct manual operation or operation by remote control, and can also be configured for a wide variety of missions.

Working Machine

A working machine comprising a chassis; first and second elongate support members, each elongate support member being pivotally coupled to the chassis at a respective pivot point; a first wheel assembly coupled to the first elongate support member and a second wheel assembly coupled to the second elongate support member; a first linear actuator coupled to the first elongate support member and a second linear actuator coupled to the second elongate support member, wherein the elongate support members are movable by operation of the actuators between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. A distance between the first and second wheel assemblies is greater in the deployed configuration than in the stowed configuration. The first and second linear actuators are pivotally coupled to the chassis along a common pivot axis.
