Axle Unit
The present invention concerns an axle unit comprising a stub axle and an axle tube, wherein the stub axle has a longitudinal channel which extends inside the stub axle substantially along a stub axis, wherein the stub axle has a transverse channel which extends inside the stub axle substantially transversely to the stub axis and opens to the environment at the outer face of the stub axle, wherein the longitudinal channel and the transverse channel are connected together, wherein the stub axle has a stub joining region to which the hollow-bodied axle tube can be secured.
Broken axle recovery apparatus
A broken axle recovery apparatus that provides a temporary solution for a broken semi floating rear axle shaft has a wheel hub, a backing plate and a bearing. The wheel hub is rotatably engaged with the backing plate via the bearing in such a way that the broken axle recovery apparatus enables a rear wheel to be functionally mounted onto a vehicle. The backing plate is mounted to an axle housing of the vehicle, and the rear wheel is rotatably mounted to the wheel hub. The bearing enables the wheel hub and the rear wheel to freely rotate about the axle housing so that the vehicle can be safely driven into a safe location or a mechanic shop.

AXLE ASSEMBLY FOR DRIVING WHEEL OF VEHICLE
An axle assembly for a driving wheel of a vehicle allows a wheel-side joint and a shaft to be rotated separately from a boot while driving so as to prevent generation of friction noise of the boot. The axle assembly includes the shaft rotated by receiving driving force from a powertrain; an axle housing disposed to pass through a center of a steering knuckle connected to a steering apparatus; a wheel bearing mounted between the steering knuckle and the axle housing; a joint bearing mounted on an outer part of the shaft; and a boot unit configured to have a first end coupled to an outer race of the joint bearing and a second end coupled to an outer race of the wheel bearing so as to form a space filled with a lubricant outside the shaft.
Replaceable replacement axle spindle
A replaceable replacement spindle assembly for both drive (tractor) axles and trailer axles comprises a spindle and seal ring. The spindle is an elongate cylinder having inner and outer bearing surfaces and a threaded portion at one end. The seal ring is a short annular or tubular component having a circular opening sized to achieve an interference fit on a portion of the spindle adjacent the inner bearing surface. The interfering surfaces of the spindle and the seal ring are complementarily dimensioned and tapered so that the surfaces contact when the spindle is properly positioned in the seal ring. Adjacent the end of the spindle opposite the bearing surfaces and threads is an end region with features such as openings or a channel which receive complementary fasteners such as plugs, short bolts or a through bolt.
HUB LOCK NUT ASSEMBLY
A hub lock nut assembly for retaining a vehicle wheel hub in position. The hub lock nut assembly comprising a hub lock nut and a mating component with which the hub lock nut is arranged to be mated in a mated position. The hub lock nut comprises a circumferential inner wall defining a central hole, the inner wall having a threaded portion. One of the hub lock nut or the mating component comprises at least one resilient portion adapted to be movable in a radial direction outwardly of the central hole when subjected to an external force provided by the other of the mating component or the hub lock nut. The at least one resilient portion having an engagement area for receiving said external force, wherein the engagement area is located radially outwardly of the threaded portion.
QUICK COUPLING FOR WHEEL-TO-VEHICLE ATTACHMENT
Mechanisms are disclosed for releasably attaching a wheel to a vehicle in a position where the wheel supports a weight of the vehicle. An illustrative quick connect system is described to include a wheel, a vehicle frame, and a coupling system that releasably attaches the wheel to the vehicle frame. The coupling system, when in a coupled state, may substantially prevent or oppose rotation between a wheel core and the vehicle frame.
AXLE WHEEL END AXIAL THRUST ASSEMBLY
An axle assembly of a vehicle including a differential assembly, a first axle tube including a proximal end adjacent the differential assembly, an opposite distal end, and an axle bore extending therebetween, a first axle shaft rotatably received in the first axle tube, the first axle shaft including a proximal end disposed in the differential assembly, and an opposite distal end extending outwardly from the distal end of the first axle shaft, and a radial bearing assembly including an inner cup, an outer cup and a plurality of roller elements rotatably received therebetween, the outer cup being axially fixed within the axle bore of the first axle tube and the inner cup being axially fixed to the first axle shaft.
FRONT PORTAL SPINDLE ASSEMBLY
An apparatus and methods are provided for a portal spindle assembly for a vehicle front suspension. The portal spindle assembly comprises a spindle portion that is rotatably coupled with upper and lower connecting arms. A leading-edge portion is rotatably coupled with a steering rod-end joint, such that moving the steering rod-end joint rotates the spindle assembly with respect to the upper and lower connecting arms. An inboard case and an outboard case support a pinion gear assembly that is meshed with an output gear assembly for communicating torque from a constant velocity joint to a front wheel coupled to the output gear assembly. The pinion gear assembly is aligned along a pinion axis disposed at an angle with respect to a hub axis of the output gear assembly. The angle facilitates a suspension geometry that provides a camber change of the front wheel that eliminates a change in track width.
