Tone wheel assembly, an axle assembly made therewith, and a method of manufacturing an axle assembly
A tone wheel assembly includes a tone wheel. A first member is attached to the tone wheel. A second member is at least partially disposed around a portion of the first member. The second member includes a collar portion, one or more first leg portions extending axially from the collar portion, and one or more second leg portions extending axially from the collar portion. The one or more first leg portions include a first leg portion protuberance that extends radially from an outer surface of the one or more first leg portions. The one or more second leg portions include a second leg portion protuberance that extends radially from an outer surface of the one or more second leg portions.

ANGULAR BALL BEARING AND WHEEL BEARING APPARATUS
A cage of an angular ball bearing includes, with respect to a plurality of balls arranged between an outer member and an inner member, an annular portion positioned on one side in an axial direction of the angular ball bearing, and a plurality of pillar portions provided to extend from the annular portion to the other side in the axial direction. The pillar portions include a first flat surface portion contactable with the balls on one side in a circumferential direction of the angular ball bearing, and a second flat surface portion contactable with the balls on the other side in the circumferential direction and parallel to the first flat surface portion.
Tether Restraint for Truck Drive Wheels
A wheel restraint system especially useful for restraining break-away wheels on drive axles and also to trailer axles, having a tether, a cable end component, a thrust bearing, and a wheel retention subassembly which fits over a wheel hub, wherein the tether is secured to the vehicle, such as secured to the inside wall of a hollow axle or through a hollow axle to an opposing similar wheel restraint system.

DRIVE AXLE ASSEMBLY
A drive axle assembly which increases a maximum bending angle by improving a structure of a shaft bearing supported by a drive shaft and makes an assembly structure compact. The drive axle assembly is preferably configured to include, a wheel bearing assembled to an axle housing, a boot having a large diameter portion of one end connected to an outer ring of the wheel bearing, a drive shaft having an orbit formed along a circumferential direction of an outer circumferential surface, and a shaft bearing assembled between a small diameter portion of the other end of the boot and the drive shaft, and configured to restrict the rotation of the boot as a rolling element is rotated along the orbit.
BEARING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE WHEEL
The present invention provides a bearing device for vehicle wheel reducing the occurrence of abnormal heat generation caused by metal contact and enhancing anti-seizing properties. Each of the tapered rollers 4 has a large diameter-side end surface 41, the inner raceway surface 31, and the large flange part 32. The large flange part 32 includes a chamfered part 32c and a rounded part 32d. The large flange part 32 has a large flange part-side cutout part 34, the large diameter-side end surface 41 of each of the tapered rollers 32 has a tapered roller-side cutout part 43 having a circular shape formed coaxially with the large diameter-side end surface 41, and a clearance of the large diameter-side end surface 41 as viewed from a contact point between the large diameter-side end surface 41 and the guide surface 32a is greater than or equal to 15 μm.
Axle bearing carrier assembly
An axle bearing carrier assembly having a swing arm of unitary construction that operatively associates with an adjustable tension plate for selectively connecting one of two different types of axle bearing carriers to the swing arm.
Axle assembly for driving wheel of vehicle
An axle assembly for a driving wheel of a vehicle allows a wheel-side joint and a shaft to be rotated separately from a boot while driving so as to prevent generation of friction noise of the boot. The axle assembly includes the shaft rotated by receiving driving force from a powertrain; an axle housing disposed to pass through a center of a steering knuckle connected to a steering apparatus; a wheel bearing mounted between the steering knuckle and the axle housing; a joint bearing mounted on an outer part of the shaft; and a boot unit configured to have a first end coupled to an outer race of the joint bearing and a second end coupled to an outer race of the wheel bearing so as to form a space filled with a lubricant outside the shaft.
ELECTRIC MULTI-SPEED HUB DRIVE WHEELS
A rotary actuator is provided which includes a prime mover including a rotor and a stator; a front-end star compound gear equipped with a first pinion, a first plurality of star gears arrayed concentrically around said first pinion, a first clutch, a first clutch shift motor, an output shaft, and first, second and third gears, wherein said third gear is attached to said output shaft; a back-end star compound gear; and a wheel interface including a principal bearing and a brake disk. The first pinion drives said the clutch. The first clutch shift motor shifts the first clutch between a first position in which the first clutch engages the first gear, and a second position in which the first clutch engages the second gear. When the first clutch engages the first gear, the first gear drives the first plurality of star gears. When the first clutch engages the first gear, the first plurality of star gears drive the third gear, or the first clutch engages the third gear to drive the output shaft directly.
