The surgical robot system may include a robot having a robot base, a robot arm coupled to the robot base, and an end-effector coupled to the robot arm. The robot may include a plurality of omni-directional wheels affixed to the robot base allowing multiple-axis movement of the robot. The robot may further include sensors for detecting a desired movement of the robot base and a control system responsive to the plurality of sensors for controlling the multiple-axis movement of the robot by actuating two or more of the plurality of omni-directional wheels.

BASSINET

A bassinet includes a base, a column assembly rotatably connected to the base at a first end of the column assembly, an arm rotatably connected to a second end of the column assembly, a tub frame pivotably connected to the arm, an infant tub retained within the tub frame, the infant tub including a front wall, a back wall, and two side walls and having areas of reduced height along the front wall and at least one of the side walls to provide enhanced access to the infant located within the infant tub, and an insert configured to reversibly fit within an interior of the infant tub.

Omnidirectional safety walker

A safety walker having a frame with a set of spherical caster wheels connected to the lower portion of the frame to provide omnidirectional movement with reduced force. A braking system is provided, where when a weight exceeding a threshold weight is applied to the frame, the brake is engaged to inhibit movement of the walker on the ground. The brake may use a mechanism in which each spherical caster wheel is retractably mounted within a lower end of a corresponding leg of the frame. Each spherical wheel is spring-loaded to urge the spherical wheel downward from the lower end of the corresponding leg. As weight is applied to the frame, the spherical caster wheel is pushed into the lower end of the leg, allowing the lower end of the leg to contact the ground surface and maintain stationary contact between the leg and the ground surface.

RETRACTABLE GUARD ASSEMBLIES

Particular embodiments disclosed herein provide a retractable guard assembly coupled to a caster of a mobile equipment, comprising one or more first guards comprising corresponding one or more guard toeholds and one or more second guards. When the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards are in a fully retracted state, fully compressing any one of the one or more guard toeholds causes the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards to transition into a fully deployed state. When the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards are in a fully deployed state, fully lifting any one of the one or more guard toeholds causes the one or more first guards and one or more second guards to transition into the fully retracted state.

Caster System For Mobile Apparatus
20220061779 · 2022-03-03 · ·

A mobile imaging device includes a base having at least one caster, a first drive mechanism that moves the system in a transport mode and translates an imaging component relative to the base in a scan mode, and a second drive mechanism that extends caster relative to the base to raise the base off the ground in the transport mode, and retracts the caster relative to the base to lower the base to the ground in the scan mode. A caster system for a mobile apparatus includes a base containing a housing and a caster, attached to the base, the caster having a wheel defining a wheel axis and a swivel joint defining a swivel axis and a pivot point defining a pivot axis, wherein the caster pivots on the pivot axis as the caster is retracted into the housing and extended out of the housing.

WHEEL, DRIVING WHEEL, AND WHEELCHAIR

Provided is a wheel (6a) in which a disk (62) includes a first rib (62a) extending in a radial direction, and protruding out on one side in a direction of a central axis a1. A hub (61) of the wheel (6a) includes a first blade portion (61d1) extending in the radial direction. At least one of a pair of side surfaces of the first rib (62a) is inclined relative to a plane including the central axis a1 of the disk (62), and the first blade portion (61d1) is fixed to the inclined side surface on one side of the central axis a1.

Wheelchair caster assembly with anti-flutter feature

A housing unit for a caster assembly comprising a hollow housing body forming an inner cavity. A first bearing is connected to the hollow housing body, the first bearing defining a rotational axis through its center, and configured to rotatably support a first portion of a stem supporting a caster for rotation about the rotational axis. A support assembly is connected to the hollow housing body, the support assembly being spaced from the first bearing, the support assembly having bearing segments concurrently defining a plain bearing around the rotational axis, the plain bearing configured to rotatably support a second portion of the stem during rotation about the rotational axis. A pressure-applying component is operatively mounted to the support assembly, the pressure-applying component being selectively displaceable to displace the at least one of the bearing segments toward or away from the second portion of the stem, to increase or decrease a pressure of the bearing segments on the second portion of the stem. The support assembly and the first bearing are configured to rotatably support the stem of the caster to form a swivel joint.

Bassinet

A bassinet includes a base, a column assembly rotatably connected to the base at a first end of the column assembly, an arm rotatably connected to a second end of the column assembly, a tub frame pivotably connected to the arm, an infant tub retained within the tub frame, the infant tub including a front wall, a back wall, and two side walls and having areas of reduced height along the front wall and at least one of the side walls to provide enhanced access to the infants located within the infant tub, and an insert configured to reversibly fit within an interior of the infant tub.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MOVING A SURGICAL TABLE

Several solutions are described for making it easier to move a surgical robotics patient table, either from rest or to turn it. The table has a base, a support, and a table top on which the patient is supported. A number of casters are mounted to a body of the base. In one case, controllable jacks lift the body to release the casters thereby allowing them to swivel to a desired orientation. In another case, a drive assembly is rotatably coupled to the body of the base and includes an electric drive motor and a drive wheel to drive the table across the floor. Other aspects are also described and claimed.
