Wheelchair caster assembly
A caster assembly for a wheelchair comprises a stem having a frame clamp at a first end and a fork clamp at a second end, the frame clamp configured to form a frame joint with at least one rotational degree of freedom with a frame portion of the wheelchair, a tightening of the frame clamp securing the stem to the frame portion, the frame joint having a frame rotational axis. A fork unit has a fork portion and a caster rotatably supported by the fork portion, the fork unit having swivel mechanism, and a joint portion forming a rotational joint with the fork clamp of the stem, a tightening of the fork clamp blocking rotation of the rotational joint, the rotational joint having a fork rotational axis. A vector of the fork rotational axis is normal to a fork rotational plane in which the fork rotates relative to the stem, and further wherein the frame rotational axis is not parallel to the fork rotational plane.
Surgical tool systems and method
Devices, Systems, and Methods for controlled movement of the robot system. The surgical robot system may include a robot having a robot base, a robot arm coupled to the robot base, and an end-effector coupled to the robot arm. The robot may include a plurality of omni-directional wheels affixed to the robot base allowing multiple-axis movement of the robot. The robot may further include sensors for detecting a desired movement of the robot base and a control system responsive to the plurality of sensors for controlling the multiple-axis movement of the robot by actuating two or more of the plurality of omni-directional wheels.

MOBILE MEDICAL DEVICE WITH AT LEAST ONE MOTOR-DRIVEN WHEEL
The present embodiments provide a mobile medical device with at least one motor-driven wheel. The mobile medical device is movable on the at least one wheel. The motor-driven wheel is arranged on a hub assigned to the motor-driven wheel. The motor-driven wheel is reversibly removable from the hub and is pluggable back onto the hub manually and without aids. The present embodiments provide that the motor-driven wheel may be removed rapidly manually and without additional aids.
ADJUSTABLE WHEELCHAIR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY
A caster wheel suspension assembly for a wheelchair or the like includes a housing with a clevis portion and a tubular portion; a fork member pivotably mounted in the clevis portion of the housing, the fork member having a pair of fork arms extending from the housing, each of the fork arms terminating in a lower end, the fork member having an upper portion formed as a clevis tang disposed in the clevis portion of the housing; a damping element in the tubular portion of the housing; and a compression adjustment element connected to the clevis pin and extending axially through the damping element. The compression adjustment element is configured to apply an adjustable compressive force to the damping element, and it is further configured to be moved axially within the tubular portion of the housing for adjustment of the compressive force applied to the damping element.
Caster wheel assembly and wheelchair comprising the same
The present disclosure relates to a caster wheel assembly (1) for a wheelchair, comprising: a caster housing (3), a central body (9) having a radially outwards extending flange (9a), which central body (9) is configured to be received by the caster housing (3), a spindle shaft (23) configured to be rotationally locked relative to the central body (9), a first bearing (11) having an inner bearing race (11b) configured to be rotationally locked relative to the spindle shaft (23), a friction member (13; 11a) configured to be rotationally locked relative to the caster housing (3), and a resilient member (15) configured to be arranged between the flange (9a) and the friction member (13), and configured to provide a force between the flange (9a) and the friction member (13) to thereby create friction torque between the caster housing (3) and the spindle shaft (23).
Device for Unimpeded Movement of Surgical Table
A device for removing obstructions impeding movement of a piece of equipment is disclosed. The device includes a sweep housing securely holding at least part of a rectangular sweep. A bristle portion of the sweep extends downward and away from the sweep housing, and includes a plurality of bristles. The sweep housing is made up of an inside bracket, which mounts to the surgical table by an adhesive strip or other means, and an outside bracket which comprises a thumbscrew or other locking mechanisms for securing the sweep housing and sweep in a fixed position with respect to each other. When an operator mounts the device, obstructions are pushed away from castors on the base of the surgical table by the one or more bristles.
SURGICAL ROBOTIC CART WITH SELECTIVE WHEEL ALIGNMENT
A mobile surgical robotic cart assembly includes a vertical column supporting a robotic arm thereon, a base, and a plurality of casters each having wheels and each being attached to the base thereby allowing the surgical robotic assembly to move. Each of the plurality of casters has a wheel alignment assembly configured to lock each of the respective wheels in a plurality of orientations.
Angle adjustment assembly
An angle adjustment assembly comprises a first member configured to pivot about a first axis. A second member is configured to rotate about a second axis transverse to the first axis. The first member is eccentrically supported in relation to the second member so that rotation of the second member produces pivotal movement of the first member. A third member may be configured to rotate about a third axis transverse to the first axis. The second member may be eccentrically supported in relation to the third member so that rotation of the third member further produces pivotal movement of the first member. The second member may comprise an inner cam member. The third member may comprise an outer cam member. The first member may be a caster stem for supporting a wheelchair caster assembly, or alternatively, an axle receiver for supporting an axle of a wheelchair drive wheel.
Wheel with high strength flexible spokes
A wheel with high strength flexible spokes of the present invention, including a rim and hub, and spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The spokes are also flexible and resilient such that they can bend while retaining their integrity and strength. The wheel includes a nipple within the rim that receives the high strength spoke and allows for flexibility in adapting the spoke to wheels having differing shapes and sizes.
