In one aspect, a wheel hub apparatus including a wheel hub that is rotatable about a central axis and has a unitary, one-piece construction. The wheel hub apparatus further includes a circular brake element having a unitary, one-piece construction and extending about the wheel hub. The wheel hub and the circular brake element include engaged portions securing the wheel hub and the circular brake element together. The engaged portions of the wheel hub and the circular brake element fix the circular brake element against axial movement along the wheel hub. In this manner, the engaged portions of the wheel hub and the circular brake element provide a mechanical joint that connects the wheel hub and the circular brake element using the material of the wheel hub and the circular brake element.
Producing a metal component with a casting-and-forming tool
A metal component is produced using a casting-and-forming tool by casting a melt of a metal alloy into the casting-and-forming tool, wherein the melt is poured from above into a base part or reservoir of the casting-and-forming tool at a first pressure, applying pressure to the melt between the base part and an upper part while the melt is solidifying to a component, wherein the solidifying melt is pressurized at a second pressure, which is larger than the first pressure, when the melt is at least partly, i.e., mostly solidified to form a component compressing the component by relative movement of the base part to the upper part so as to compress the component with a third pressure, which is higher than the second pressure.
HUB FOR HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLE
A hub for a heavy-duty vehicle and for mounting a wheel for relative rotation comprises a substantially cylindrical body having axially opposite end portions and a longitudinal central axis. Each of a pair of bearing receiving bores is formed in the cylindrical body at a respective axially opposite end portion of the cylindrical body. A circumferential envelope has an outer diameter and is formed on the cylindrical body about one of the pair of bearing receiving bores. A flange extends radially outward from the cylindrical body at a location between the pair of bearing receiving bores. A barrel portion of the cylindrical body extends between the flange and the circumferential envelope and has an outer diameter. The hub provides sufficient strength and minimizes weight by incorporating specific longitudinal profiles and ratios and/or relationships of various dimensions of the barrel portion 104.
Wheel mold spraying apparatus
The present invention discloses a wheel mold spraying device, which is composed of a frame, a servo motor, a servo electric cylinder, a hollow shaft, a nozzle and the like. Four side molds of a wheel are respectively placed on four slide plates; hand wheels are rotated to adjust the slide plates to proper positions through lead screws and guide rails; the servo motor drives the rotation of the hollow shaft and the nozzle through belt wheels and a synchronous belt, and the nozzle is automatically opened; and through guide posts, the servo electric cylinder lifts the nozzle to the top end while rotating, in which case the process of spraying for the four side molds can be completed.

A solid wheel for a rail vehicle includes a wheel rim arranged on the circumference of the solid wheel, a tread and a hub for a wheelset shaft, wherein the wheel rim is connected to the hub via an end wall and a rear wall, where the hub is arranged at the center of the solid wheel and includes a longitudinal axis such that a high radial and axial strength of the wheel flange as the basis for a low sound emission is provided by virtue of the solid wheel forming a cavity that is delimited by the end wall and the rear wall, where the end wall and the rear wall transition into each other below the wheel flange in an arched manner, and the end wall has first openings and the rear wall has second openings in order to open the cavity outwards in a spoked manner.
AIRLESS TIRE
The purpose of the present invention is to minimize decline in endurance, while improving vibration performance. The spokes of an airless tire are provided, as an integrated unit, with an outside annular portion joined to the inside peripheral surface of a tread ring, an inside annular portion joined to the outside peripheral surface of a hub, and a spoke plate portion of constant thickness providing linkage therebetween. The radial inner edge and the radial outer edge of the center plane of thickness of the spoke plate portion are respectively diagonal with respect to a tire axial-direction line. The intersection line at which the center plane of thickness intersects a plane that is at a right angle to the tire axial-direction line constitutes a straight line. The spoke length, which is the length from the radial inner edge to the radial outer edge along the intersection line, is constant for any given location in the tire axial direction.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CAST ALLOY WHEEL
A cast aluminum wheel includes a rim element having an annular configuration defining an axis and a central element extending radially outwardly between the axis and the rim element. The rim element includes a wall extending circumferentially around the axis between a proximal bead and a distal bead. The central element includes a plurality of spokes extending radially outwardly toward the proximal bead and meets proximate the axis with adjacent of the plurality of spokes defining a cooperative feature therebetween for providing stiffness to the wheel. The spokes progressively increase in volume in a direction toward the axis from the rim element thereby providing increased mass of the spokes proximate the axis relative to the rim element.
