Drive wheel bearing and method of manufacturing the same

Disclosed are a drive wheel bearing and a method of manufacturing the same. The drive wheel bearing includes: a wheel hub which is integrally and rotatably fastened to a vehicle wheel; an inner race which is fitted with the wheel hub and integrally and rotatably coupled to the wheel hub; an outer race which rotatably supports the wheel hub and the inner race in a state in which the wheel hub and the inner race are fitted into the outer race; rolling elements which are interposed between the outer race and the wheel hub and between the outer race and the inner race; and a constant velocity joint which is integrally and rotatably connected to the wheel hub or the inner race by means of a face spline in order to receive power from an engine and transmit the received power to the vehicle wheel, in which the face spline of each of the wheel hub and the constant velocity joint have a structure in which teeth having the same size and tooth grooves having the same size radially extend, and are alternately and continuously arranged in a circumferential direction, and as a result, it is possible to smoothly transmit rotational power of the engine to the vehicle wheel through the wheel bearing.

VEHICLE WHEEL AND USE

A vehicle wheel may include a rim for receiving a tire and a wheel disk attached to the rim in a cohesive connection, in a force-fitting connection, and/or a form-fitting connection, with an attachment region for releasably attaching to a wheel mount. The wheel disk may be formed of a steel workpiece that is heat-treated at least in certain regions. To provide a utility vehicle wheel vehicle wheel having high operational strength and reliability relative to the prior art, the wheel disk may have at least in a transition region for attaching to the rim a heat-treated structure with at least one of a tensile strength of between 500 and 1300 MPa or a hardness of between 150 and 400 HV 0.1.

WHEEL SPOKE WITH THICKENED EDGES AROUND HEAT DISSIPATION HOLES AND ITS PROCESSING DEVICE

A lightweight wheel spoke for an automobile increases the strength around the heat dissipation holes by thickening the material around the heat dissipation hole on the inner wall of the spoke. The thinning of the material between the heat dissipation holes, that is where there is no heat dissipation holes on the tapered barrel, enables the tapered barrel of the spoke to form a unique concave-convex structure on the inner wall or the outer wall, thereby enabling the entire spoke to be secured.

HUB-BEARING ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLES

A hub-bearing assembly for rotatably mounting a motor vehicle wheel on a suspension strut having a wheel hub to support the wheel of the vehicle and having an axial shoulder, a bearing unit providing a radially outer stationary ring constrained to the strut; a first radially inner rotating ring mounted on the hub, and a second radially inner rotating ring defined by the hub, two rows of rolling bodies interposed between the radially outer stationary ring and the two radially inner rotating rings inside a first raceway and a second raceway formed, respectively, the first inner ring providing a substantially non-deformable Hertzian portion, on which is formed the second raceway, and an accumulation portion integral with the Hertzian portion and interposed between the Hertzian portion and the axial shoulder for accumulating elastic energy during cold deformation to obtain the rolled edge.

WHEEL HUB FOR HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLES

A wheel hub for a heavy-duty vehicle includes a first and second tubular hub segment. The first tubular hub segment has a first annular end surface. The second tubular hub segment has a second annular end surface and a radially extending flange. A continuous, circumferential joint is formed at the interface of the first annular end surface and second annular end surface.

Fabricated Vehicle Wheel, Wheel Disc for Use in Such a Fabricated Vehicle Wheel and Method for Producing Such a Wheel Disc and Fabricated Vehicle Wheel

A wheel disc adapted for use in a fabricated vehicle wheel comprising a steel wheel disc defining an axis and including a center mounting portion, an outer rim connecting flange, a plurality of radially outwardly extending spokes connecting the center mounting portion to the outer rim connecting flange and a ventilation opening provided between each pair of adjacent spokes. A width defined by a center wall of the spoke is tapered inwardly along a substantial portion of a radial length thereof as the center wall of the spoke extends generally from the center mounting portion to the outer rim connecting flange or wherein a width defined by outer walls of the spoke is tapered inwardly along a substantial portion of a radial length thereof as the outer walls of the spoke extends generally from the center mounting portion to the outer rim connecting flange.

Process and device for producing hot-formed wheel naves

A method for producing a wheel disk of a vehicle wheel may involve producing the wheel disk produced from a steel blank by hot forming. The blank may be at least partially hardened, preferably press-hardened, during or after the hot forming. The blank may be hot formed using at least one punch and at least one die, and at least one opening may be introduced into the blank using hot trimming means. At least one opening may be introduced during the hot trimming using at least one trimming bolt and an application bolt, wherein the application bolt may have at least one region having a cross-sectional shape that is variable in a longitudinal direction of the application bolt. Using the application bolt, the at least one opening may be calibrated via the variable cross sectional shape.

LOW WEIGHT FLANGED INNER RING OF A WHEEL HUB UNIT

A flanged inner ring of a wheel hub unit includes a flange extending transverse to a central axis of symmetry and having a plurality of fixing holes for attaching a wheel. The flanged inner ring also includes a continuous tubular body projecting axially from the flange, the continuous tubular body having a plurality of polygonal recesses. The polygonal recesses reduce weight of the wheel hub unit and improve water drainage from the wheel hub unit.
