Vehicle Wheel for Passenger Cars
Vehicle wheel comprising a rim part and a disc part formed from a one-piece sheet metal blank and including a central portion with bolt holes and a plurality of radially extending spoke arrangements merging into a disc edge delimiting together with the spoke arrangements ventilation apertures which extend over the region between the edge webs and the disc edge. In order to create steel wheels with four-hole fixing in which high strength and stiffness are achieved the number of spoke arrangements and of bolt holes is four and these are in each case arranged mirror-symmetrically with respect to a common radial line, with the width of each spoke arrangement narrowing radially towards the outside and each ventilation aperture extending in the circumferential direction over an arc length of more than ? of the circumference of the disc part. Further, each ventilation aperture is having on a radial line a maximum radial clear width which is equal to or preferably greater than the radial width of the metal portion of the disc part on the same radial line.
Method of manufacturing a large- or medium-sized wheel disk and a product manufactured thereby
A method of manufacturing a large- or medium-sized wheel disk including using a punch or die in a first step of ironing a blank of a flat plate to a first-stage product. The first-stage product having a cylindrical rising portion with an axially non-constant thickness. The rising portion includes a thick portion located at a tip portion of the rising portion and a thickness-reduced portion which is a remaining portion of the rising portion excluding the thick portion. During the first step, only a portion of the blank corresponding to the thickness-reduced portion is ironed.
Vehicle wheel having a hammer-debossed texture
Wheels for use on vehicles and methods of manufacturing vehicle wheels are described in the present disclosure. According to one embodiment, a method includes a step of manufacturing a wheel that includes a rim, a center disk, and a plurality of spokes. The rim may include a substantially-cylindrical barrel adapted to seal a tubeless tire. The center disk may include a central bore adapted for engagement with an axle of a vehicle. Also, the plurality of spokes may be adapted to connect the center disk to the rim. The method further includes the step of deforming outwardly-facing surfaces of the spokes using one or more hammering or punching instruments.
WHEEL SPOKE WITH THICKENED EDGES AROUND HEAT DISSIPATION HOLES AND ITS PROCESSING DEVICE
A lightweight wheel spoke for an automobile increases the strength around the heat dissipation holes by thickening the material around the heat dissipation hole on the inner wall of the spoke. The thinning of the material between the heat dissipation holes, that is where there is no heat dissipation holes on the tapered barrel, enables the tapered barrel of the spoke to form a unique concave-convex structure on the inner wall or the outer wall, thereby enabling the entire spoke to be secured.
HUB-BEARING ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLES
A hub-bearing assembly for rotatably mounting a motor vehicle wheel on a suspension strut having a wheel hub to support the wheel of the vehicle and having an axial shoulder, a bearing unit providing a radially outer stationary ring constrained to the strut; a first radially inner rotating ring mounted on the hub, and a second radially inner rotating ring defined by the hub, two rows of rolling bodies interposed between the radially outer stationary ring and the two radially inner rotating rings inside a first raceway and a second raceway formed, respectively, the first inner ring providing a substantially non-deformable Hertzian portion, on which is formed the second raceway, and an accumulation portion integral with the Hertzian portion and interposed between the Hertzian portion and the axial shoulder for accumulating elastic energy during cold deformation to obtain the rolled edge.

Hub unit manufacturing apparatus
An axial section of a continuous portion where an outer peripheral surface of a spindle portion of a main spindle in which a punch is installed is continuous with an outer peripheral surface of a punch holder is formed of a first circular arc joined to the outer peripheral surface of the spindle portion and a second circular arc joined to the outer peripheral surface of the punch holder. The first circular arc and the second circular arc are in contact with each other. The second circular arc is smaller than the first circular arc in curvature radius.
Process and device for producing hot-formed wheel naves
A method for producing a wheel disk of a vehicle wheel may involve producing the wheel disk produced from a steel blank by hot forming. The blank may be at least partially hardened, preferably press-hardened, during or after the hot forming. The blank may be hot formed using at least one punch and at least one die, and at least one opening may be introduced into the blank using hot trimming means. At least one opening may be introduced during the hot trimming using at least one trimming bolt and an application bolt, wherein the application bolt may have at least one region having a cross-sectional shape that is variable in a longitudinal direction of the application bolt. Using the application bolt, the at least one opening may be calibrated via the variable cross sectional shape.
Self-locking nipple for wheel spoke and method and apparatus for manufacturing same
Self-locking nipple for attaching wheel spoke to wheel part. The self-locking function of the nipple is created by deforming the nipple body in a rotationally symmetrical way and over a predetermined axial distance, such that such a narrowed part is created in the internal screw-thread of the nipple which is rotationally symmetric with respect to the longitudinal axis of the nipple and extends over only one to two windings of the internal screw-thread.
