Wheel hub bearing bore
In some examples, an aircraft wheel assembly includes an axle, a bearing assembly, and a hub defining a bearing bore. The bearing bore may be configured such that the dynamic radial and axial thrust bearing reactions between the axle and the hub results in a first reaction force F.sub.R applied to the hub, the first reaction force F.sub.R having a radial component, and a second reaction force F.sub.N applied to the hub, the second reaction force F.sub.N having both a radial and an axial component.
WHEEL LIGHTWEIGHT MACHINING FIXTURE AND METHOD
Disclosed are a wheel lightweight machining fixture and method. The fixture comprises a rotating chuck, an electric cylinder, a guide rail, a slide block, a first linear motor, radial positioning blocks and the like. When the electric cylinder drives the slide block to move along the guide rail, the position where an first ultrasonic thickness measuring sensor is in contact with a wheel spoke can be adjusted, so that the spoke thicknesses at different positions can be detected. Through motion of the turrets, an second ultrasonic thickness measuring sensor can contact the outer rim of the wheel and detect the rim wall thickness. By integrating a measurement feedback system into the manufacturing process, the disclosure provides a fixture and a method for minimum entity machining of the rim wall thickness and the spoke thickness of a wheel during the first stage turning process, thereby realizing lightweight manufacturing of the wheel.

The drive wheel bearing includes: a wheel hub which is integrally and rotatably fastened to a vehicle wheel; an inner race which is fitted with the wheel hub and integrally and rotatably coupled to the wheel hub; an outer race which rotatably supports the wheel hub and the inner race in a state in which the wheel hub and the inner race are fitted into the outer race; rolling elements which are interposed between the outer race and the wheel hub and between the outer race and the inner race; and a constant velocity joint which is integrally and rotatably connected to the wheel hub or the inner race by means of a face spline in order to receive power from an engine and transmit the received power to the vehicle wheel, in which the face spline of each of the wheel hub and the constant velocity joint have a structure in which teeth having the same size and tooth grooves having the same size radially extend, and are alternately and continuously arranged in a circumferential direction, and as a result, it is possible to smoothly transmit rotational power of the engine to the vehicle wheel through the wheel bearing.
Method for manufacturing hub ring and method for manufacturing vehicle bearing apparatus
A method for manufacturing a vehicle bearing apparatus includes a method for manufacturing a hub ring. The hub ring includes a seal facing surface, a flange portion, and a shaft body portion. The flange portion includes a thin portion, a thick portion, bolt holes, a thin portion outer surface, a thick portion outer surface, and bolts. The flange portion protrudes outward from the shaft body portion. The thick portion is formed on an outer side with respect to the bolt holes in the flange portion, and the thin portion is formed on an inner side with respect to the thick portion in the flange portion. In the method for manufacturing the hub ring, machining is performed on the thick portion outer surface by using the seal facing surface subjected to grinding, as a reference surface, after the bolts are fitted into the flange portion.
ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT STEEL WHEEL FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
The present application relates to an ultra-lightweight steel wheel for a commercial vehicle. The wheel has excellent material characteristics and an advanced design, and consists of a rim for mounting a tire, and a disc having a hub flange for detachably connecting to a wheel hub or axle, wherein the rim and/or disc is made of a heat-treated and hardened steel material with a carbon content between 0.18 wt % and 0.37 wt %, and the disc and/or rim principally consists of a martensitic microstructure and has a tensile strength of at least 900 MPa. The maximum thickness of the rim is less than 4.50 mm and/or the maximum thickness of the disc is less than 12.00 mm, wherein the value of the product of the wheel diameter and the wheel width divided by the wheel mass is greater than 4000 mm.sup.2/kg.
VEHICLE WHEEL HAVING A CONNECTION BETWEEN A WHEEL RIM AND A WHEEL DISC AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
Disclosed is a vehicle wheel having a wheel rim and a wheel disc connected to an inner side of the wheel rim. The wheel disc is connected to the wheel rim by a connecting element which is guided through a through-hole of the rim base and inserted in the wheel disc. The through-hole is arranged in the tire seat of the rim base and the connecting element is joined substantially in the direction of the radial extension of the wheel disc which is associated to the tire seat on the inner side of the rim. In the method for producing the wheel the connection between wheel rim and wheel disc is produced in the region of the tire seat of the rim base, and, after the insertion of the connecting element into the wheel disc, a portion of the connecting element protruding the contour of the outer side of the rim of the tire seat is shaped so that the connecting element conforms to the contour of the outer side of the rim of the tire seat.
WHEEL MACHINING TECHNOLOGY
The present invention discloses a wheel machining technology in which blank quantity is furthest removed by using a 90-degree external turning tool. Under the premise that the rotation direction of a wheel is unchanged, an upper trench of a groove is processed by using a left-handed special cutting-off cutter. Under the premise that the rotation direction of the wheel is unchanged, a lower trench of the groove is processed by using a right-handed special cutting-off cutter. The left-handed special cutter and the right-handed special cutter are added to the wheel machining technology disclosed by the present invention, so as to complete the processing of a groove of an outer wheel rim; a processing program can be pre-edited, so that processed effects conform to the design requirements of drawings of products.
