Axle attachment
An axle attachment includes a guide element having a guide-side attachment region that is curved in a concave manner and a guide-side fixing region adjoining the guide-side attachment region along the curvature line, and a clamping element having a clamping-side attachment region that is curved in a concave manner and that is arranged opposite the guide-side attachment region, and a clamping-side fixing region. A fixing element engages into a guide-side fixing region and into an opposing clamping-side fixing region and forces the regions against each other in order to fix an axle body to the axle attachment in a force-fitting manner.
Wheel assembly tie bolt retention system
The present disclosure includes a wheel assembly having a tie bolt retention system. Tie bolt retention systems of the present disclosure include retention holes and retention elements. Retention elements may engage retention holes to prevent loosening or disengagement of a tie nut from the tie bolt.
REMOVABLE SYSTEM FOR COUNTING WHEEL REVOLUTIONS
A system for counting wheel revolutions made by a wheel of a vehicle includes an electronic counter, a transmitter, a housing, and a removable connector. The electronic counter is structured to count a number of wheel revolutions made by the wheel. The transmitter is structured to transmit data from the electronic counter to a remote database. The housing is structured to receive and house the electronic counter. The removable connector is structured to removably attach the housing to a nut anti-loosening device installed on the wheel.
STAMPED WHEEL BALANCING WEIGHT
A wheel-balancing weight mounts to a wheel with a flange. The weight includes a body and a clip. The body is stamped by a punch to define a pocket within which an attaching portion of the clip resides. The defined pocket has a planar base and opposing side walls generally perpendicular to the base. The body as stamped by the punch includes a pre-stake for each side wall external to the pocket and adjacent the side wall, and an undercut for each side wall within the pocket and generally located at a juncture of the side wall and the base.
CASTER MOUNTING STRUCTURE
A caster mounting portion has a mounting member housing portion which houses the mounting member, the mounting member has a rotary shaft portion which is pivotally supported in a bearing recessed portion in the mounting member housing portion, an abutment body in which the rotary shaft portion is provided at an eccentric position and which is displaced by rotation to be widened to close the inside of the mounting member housing portion, an upper locking piece which engages with a locking receiving portion of an opposed wall, a lower locking piece which abuts against the bottom face of the aforementioned latching portion, and a locking stepped portion which is urged by a leading end of an elastic arm, climbing over the aforementioned latching portion, and engages with the lathing portion.
BICYCLE WHEEL SECURING DEVICE
A bicycle wheel securing device comprises a shaft, an axial abutment structure, a bicycle-body engaging structure, a manual actuator, and a shaft-end retaining structure. The shaft has a first shaft end, a second shaft end, and a longitudinal center axis. The manual actuator is operatively connected to the axial abutment structure to bias the axial abutment structure against a first wheel attachment part of a bicycle body in response to operation of the manual actuator in a securing state where the bicycle-body engaging structure is engaged with a second wheel attachment part of the bicycle body. The shaft-end retaining structure is at least partly disposed at the second shaft end to retain the second shaft end in the first wheel attachment part in a maintenance state where the second shaft end is positioned in the first wheel attachment part of the bicycle body.
Systems and methods for identifying and mitigating lug nut loosening
Implementations disclosed and claimed herein provide systems and methods for identifying and mitigating lug nut loosening. In one implementation, an indicator body of an indicator has a top surface connecting a front surface and a back surface. A first side of the indicator body is disposed opposite a second side of the indicator body. A receiver extends from the top surface into an interior of the indicator body. The receiver is configured to form a translational relationship of the lug nut with the indicator through a mating fit of the lug nut within the receiver. The translational relationship generates a corresponding rotation of the indicator body in response to a rotation of the lug nut. The corresponding rotation of the indicator body provides an indication that the lug nut is loose.
Traveling toy wheel
A traveling toy wheel whose simple configuration allows multiple devices to be enjoyed and can further change fine offsets is provided. The traveling toy wheel includes a first rim member to which a tire is mounted and a second rim member which includes a fitting portion into which a wheel hub of a traveling toy is fitted. Fitting holes as fixing portions are provided in one of the first rim member or the second rim member and elastic convex pieces as fixed portions are provided in the other of the first and second rim members. When the elastic convex pieces are fitted in the fitting holes, the first rim member and the second rim member are jointed relatively unmovably. A plurality of fitting holes are arranged at different positions, so that it is possible to easily adjust an offset of the wheel.
Vehicle wheel
The invention is directed to a vehicle wheel (1) comprising a rim (2) for receiving a tire at its radially outer side (3) and provided with an edge along the circumferential of the rim at its radially inner side, a wheel hub connected to the rim via a support element, wherein the material of the rim and the support element are different, the support element provided with openings at its end facing the rim to receive a connecting element, the edge of the rim provided with openings in line with the openings of the support element and wherein the support element is connected to the rim via the connecting elements present in the openings in the edge and in the openings of the support element, wherein the opening in the edge is a radial elongated opening or is a indentation in the edge or the openings in the support element are radially elongated openings or indentations.
Wheel with aluminum foam for tire cavity noise suppression
A wheel assembly includes a wheel including a spoke portion radially supporting a rim portion about a central axis, wherein the rim portion presents a radial outer surface relative to the central axis. A tire is mounted to the wheel and cooperates with the wheel to define a tire cavity between the radial outer surface of the rim portion and the tire. A foamed aluminum portion is supported by the wheel, and includes a plurality of pores arranged to define an open-cell foam. The plurality of pores of the foamed aluminum portion is disposed in fluid communication with the tire cavity to absorb noise from within the tire cavity. The foamed aluminum portion may be integrally cast with the wheel, or otherwise affixed to the wheel.
