VEHICLE WHEEL
Provided is a vehicle wheel with which manufacturing costs can be reduced. The vehicle wheel includes a sub air chamber member as a Helmholtz resonator on a well portion of a rim. The sub air chamber member includes a protrusion portion which protrudes toward the rim, and the rim has a hole portion into which the protrusion portion is inserted to engage with the sub air chamber.
EMERGENCY OPERATION ATTACHMENT FOR A VEHICLE WHEEL
An attachment for a vehicle wheel allows operation when the tire is flat. The attachment may include a main body which is circular or substantially annular when seen in an axial direction, a positioning device for positioning the attachment on a rim of the vehicle wheel, and a fastening device for fastening the attachment to the rim of the vehicle wheel. The fastening device may be adapted to be actuated independently of the positioning device.
Axle wheel end axial thrust assembly
An axle assembly for a vehicle including a differential assembly, a first axle tube extending outwardly from a first side of the differential assembly and defining an axle bore, a first axle shaft rotatably received in the first axle tube, and defining an annular groove extending radially inwardly from its outer surface, a retainer nut axially fixed to a distal end of the first axle tube, the retainer nut having an annular flange extending inwardly into the axle bore and defining an annular outer raceway, a snap ring received in the annular groove, and an axial thrust component disposed in the axle bore of the first axle tube between the snap ring and the outer raceway of the retainer nut.
Removable system for counting wheel revolutions
A system for counting wheel revolutions made by a wheel of a vehicle, the system including an electronic counter, a transmitter, a housing, and a connector. The electronic counter counts a number of wheel revolutions made by the wheel. The transmitter transmits data from the electronic counter to a remote database. The housing houses the electronic counter. The connector removably attaches the housing to a nut anti-loosening device installed on the wheel.
METHOD OF MOUNTING A NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE ONTO A HUB
A method of mounting a non-pneumatic tire (102) onto a hub (300) to provide a non-pneumatic wheel (100). Certain portions of spokes (106) of the non-pneumatic tire (102) are connected to grooves (318) along the hub (300). The tire (102) is repeatedly rotated and deformed to allow the remaining portions of the spokes (106) to be connected with the grooves (318) in order to fully mount the non-pneumatic tire (102) onto the hub (300).
WHEEL COVER QUICK MOUNT
Implementations disclosed and claimed herein provide a wheel cover system. In one implementation, an inward force exerted against a wheel cover of the wheel cover assembly in an inward direction towards the hub is received. The inward force overcomes a spring bias of a spring of the receiver and translates the wheel cover assembly in the inward direction. A first rotational force rotating the wheel cover assembly in a first direction is received. The first post guides and engages the first hook, and the second post guides and engages the second hook during rotation. A first positive feedback is generated in response to the inward force and the first rotational force. The wheel cover assembly is releaseably locked to the receiver by translating the wheel cover assembly in the outward direction using an outward force generated by the spring bias. The outward force provides a second positive feedback.
Loose wheel nut indicator and restrainer
An apparatus (10) for visually indicating a loose wheel nut (57) on a wheel of a motor vehicle has a plurality of wheel nut engaging members (12, 14, 16, 18, 20). Each wheel nut engaging member is rotatable with a respective wheel nut to which it is engaged and has a pointer (26) for indicating a start position of the wheel nut engaging member. Any two adjacent wheel nut engaging members of the plurality are interconnected by an elongate member (28) which is resiliently flexible so as to define an endless configuration of spaced apart but interconnected wheel nut engaging members. In use, any loosening rotation of a first wheel nut (57) will cause the engaging member (12) which engages that wheel nut and its pointer (26) to rotate therewith, thereby providing a visual indication of a loosening of that wheel nut.
Emergency wheel
An attachment is provided for a vehicle wheel for enabling a driving operation with restricted tire functions. A system includes the attachment and a rim of a vehicle wheel.
VEHICLE WHEEL, IN PARTICULAR FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES, WITH AN AERODYNAMIC COVER AND AERODYNAMIC COVER FOR VEHICLE WHEELS, IN PARTICULAR FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
A vehicle wheel for commercial vehicles, having a fastening device for an aerodynamic wheel disc cover. In order to enable secure and easy fastening of the disc cover, the fastening device comprises several fastening holes arranged in the hub connection flange, with at least one fastening hole consisting of a through hole having a smaller diameter on the front side of the wheel than on a rear side of the hub connection flange and forming an abutment for a detachable retaining means acting by form fit, and/or wherein at least one fastening hole consists of a through hole provided with an internal thread for screwing in a fastening screw as a retaining means, and/or that the centre hole has an inner circle edge comprising a constriction which forms an abutment for a cover side arranged retaining means acting by form fit.
