Cosmetic or dermatological compositions combining cosmetiques retinaldehyde and glycylglycine oleamide and the cosmetic or dermatological uses thereof
The invention concerns topical compositions based on retinaldehyde, glycylglycine oleamide and, if necessary, delta-tocopheryl-glucopyranoside, and their use in cosmetology and dermatology to combat skin ageing and more particularly light-induced skin ageing.
COSMETIC AND PHARMACEUTICAL FOAM
The invention relates to uses of an alcohol-free cosmetic or pharmaceutical foam carrier comprising water, a hydrophobic solvent, a foam adjuvant agent, a surface-active agent and a water gelling agent as a flame retardant or flame resistant foam. The hydrophobic solvent is preferably mineral oil; medium chain triglycerides; isopropyl myristearate or octyl dodecanol, silicone oil or vegetable oil or mixtures thereof. The cosmetic or pharmaceutical foam carrier does not contain aliphatic alcohols, also making it non-irritating and non-drying. The alcohol-free foam carrier is suitable for inclusion of both water-soluble and oil-soluble pharmaceutical and cosmetic agents.
MULTI-PURPOSE COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS
A method for treating the skin of a subject in need thereof is disclosed. The method includes topically applying to the skin of the subject a cosmetic composition that includes an effective amount of an aqueous, alcoholic, or aqueous-alcoholic extract of Silybum marianum and an aqueous, alcoholic, or aqueous-alcoholic extract of Momordica grosvenori fruit.
Multi-purpose cosmetic compositions
A method for applying a composition to skin is disclosed. The method can include topically applying to skin a composition that includes an effective amount of Silybum marianum extract and Momordica grosvenori fruit extract, wherein the Silybum marianum extract is a hydroalcoholic extract and the Momordica grosvenori fruit extract is a hydroglycolic extract.
METHODS USING PHOSPHATIDYLSERINE POWDER
The present invention provides Phosphatidylserine (PS) preparations with PS having a predetermined particle size for use in sports nutrition and/or promoting skin health in a subject. The methods of the present invention include administering a daily dose of the PS preparation to improve sports performance and/or promote skin health in a subject.
Method and Therapeutic/Cosmetic Topical Compositions for the Treatment of Rosacea and Skin Erythema Using A1-Adrenoceptor Agonists
The present invention is directed to the treatment of skin erythema as exhibited in rosacea and other conditions characterized by increased erythema (redness) of the skin. These conditions exhibit dilation of blood vessels due to a cutaneous vascular hyper-reactivity. In particular, the present invention is directed to a novel composition and method for the treatment of skin erythema using .sub.1-adrenergic receptor (.sub.1-adrenoceptor) agonists incorporated into cosmetic, pharmacological or dermatological compositions for topical application to the skin.
Topical Treatment Compositions Comprising Benzoin and Olive Fruit Extract
Disclosed are treatment compositions adapted for application to mammalian skin, which treatment compositions are effective initiators for the generation of human keratinocytes on or within the treated skin, particularly in the locus of the skin wherein the treatment composition has been applied, which treatment composition comprises benzoin and an olive oil extract which contains hydroxytyrosol and/or hydroxytyrosol. In certain preferred embodiments the benzoin and the olive oil extract and/or hydroxytyrosol are microencapsulated.
HYALURONIC ACID COMPOSITION
An injectable hyaluronic acid composition including a hyaluronic acid; a local anesthetic selected from the group consisting of amide and ester type local anesthetics or a combination thereof; and an ascorbic acid derivative in an amount which prevents or reduces the effect on the viscosity and/or elastic modulus G of the composition caused by the local anesthetic upon sterilization by heat. Further, the medical and non-medical, such as cosmetic, use of such a composition, and to a method of manufacturing such a composition.
PASSION FLOWER SEED EXTRACT, AND COSMETIC, PHARMACEUTICAL OR DERMATOLOGICAL COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING SAME
The invention relates to a polyphenolic extract of passion flower seeds, in particular Passiflora incarnata or Passiflora edulis seeds, comprising at least 30 percent by weight polyphenols, expressed as gallic acid equivalent, relative to the weight of the dry extract. The invention also relates to a method for preparing an extract of said type, a composition containing same, and the cosmetic, dermatological or therapeutic use thereof.
PHOTOPROTECTIVE COMPOSITION BASED ON A CARBOXYLIC ACID ESTER; USE OF SAID COMPOUND FOR INCREASING THE SUN PROTECTION FACTOR
