20180250706 · 2018-09-06 ·

A bicycle component or a fishing component includes a first end portion, a second end portion and an intermediate portion extending between the first and second end portions. The first end portion has a surface on which a first dye is disposed. The second end portion has a surface which is free of the first dye or on which the first dye is disposed with a smaller amount than the first dye disposed on the surface of the first end portion. The intermediate portion includes a gradation portion having a surface on which the first dye decreases in amount from the first end portion toward the second end portion. The gradation portion has a length greater than or equal to 20 mm in a dye gradation direction extending from the first end portion toward the second end portion.

Special wheel spray support

The present invention discloses a special wheel spray support, which is composed of a base body, a bottom plate, struts, adjusting blocks, supporting pins, protective jackets, a stop pin and the like. When in use, the special wheel spray support of the present invention can meet the requirements for online spraying of special wheels and bolt hole protection, and is not only high in universality and simple in structure, but also has a series of prominent advantages, such as good safety and reliability, low manufacturing cost, etc.

LIGHTWEIGHT PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING BICYCLE'S RIMS AND RIM STRUCTURE MANUFACTURED THEREBY
20170253078 · 2017-09-07 ·

This invention is related to a lightweight process of manufacturing a bicycle's rim and a rim structure manufactured thereby. A rim frame comprising an inner frame, a cladding part, and a support part between the inner frame and the cladding part. The inner frame and the support part are milled to form plural through holes uniformly distributed thereon. The areas occupied by the through holes is 35% to 85% of a total surface of the inner frame and the support part. Moreover, a proper distance is formed between the adjacent through holes in the process, and a carbon fiber layer covers the outer surface of the rim frame. Therefore, the weight of the bicycle's rim is decreased, and the carbon fiber layer can stably attach on the rim frame to increase the structural strength of the rim.

Portal Axle for a Rail Vehicle and Method for Manufacturing a Portal Axle of This Type
20250065671 · 2025-02-27 ·

A portal axle as well as a method for manufacturing a portal axle for a rail vehicle, which has an axle centre part extending along a longitudinal axis and two kingpins one of which sits on a first end section of the axle centre part and a second on a second end section of the axle centre part formed opposite to the first end section. The kingpins are oriented away from the axle centre part and form an axis of rotation in use for a rail wheel rotatably mounted on the respective kingpin. The portal axle has optimised usage properties with minimised weight. This is achieved by a longitudinal opening extending in the longitudinal direction of the portal axle being formed in at least one of the mould components. The invention further provides a method for manufacturing an axle of this type.

PLASMA VAPOR DEPOSITED (PVD) COATING PROCESS
20170058399 · 2017-03-02 ·

A plasma vapor deposited (PVD) coating method. The method includes overlaying a primer polymer layer onto a substrate surface. The method further includes overlaying a chrome metallic layer onto the primer polymer. The method also includes depositing a plasma vapor deposited (PVD) oxide layer of a thickness of 1 to 5 nanometers onto the chrome metallic layer and having a parameter of color change of the underlying chrome metallic layer. The color change may be determined according to the following equation:

E*.sub.ab={square root over ((L*).sup.2+(a*).sup.2+(b*).sup.2)}

L is the color brightness of the oxide layer, and a and b are the color-component dimensions of the oxide and metallic layers. E*.sub.ab may be less than 2.3. The method further includes overlaying an exposed polymeric layer onto the PVD oxide layer to form a protective layer at the interface between the exposed polymeric layer and the oxide layer.

APPARATUS FOR SURFACE TREATMENT, PAINTING OF CAR RIMS, AND METHOD THEREFORE

A vehicle wheel includes a face portion and rim portion defining a wheel surface. The face portion includes a plurality of spokes extending radially outwardly from a central portion to the rim portion interconnecting the face portion to the rim portion. A translucent polymer coating defines an outermost coating of the surface of the wheel where the translucent polymer coating is tinted for reflecting a first portion of light illuminating the wheel and allowing a second portion of light to pass through the translucent polymer coating. The second portion of light that passes through the translucent polymer coating reflects the surface of the wheel defining a third portion of light.
