Disclosed are skin care compositions containing refractive polymeric particles. The composition improves the appearance of skin but reducing gloss without a noticeable presence on the skin surface.

The present invention relates generally to the field of cosmetics. More particularly, it concerns compositions that can be used to exfoliate, moisturize, or prepare skin for moisturization. In another aspect, the composition can be used as a cleanser to remove dirt, oil, grease, tars, etc. from surfaces.

The present disclosure relates to a Taraxacum Coreanum phytoplacenta cell culture extract that has moisturizing and soothing effects for extremely dry skin such as atopic dermatitis, and skin barrier strengthening effect. The Taraxacum Coreanum phytoplacenta cell culture or an extract thereof according to the present disclosure is non-toxic to skin cells, and has an efficacy of moisturizing, anti-aging, strengthening the skin barrier, improving wrinkles, soothing the skin, protecting the skin from UV rays, and protecting the skin from blue light, etc.

Methods for delivery of a biologic agent to the dermis or superficial muscles by topical application of the agent are provided. The methods comprise, in one embodiment, treating or conditioning a skin area to disrupt the stratum corneum in the skin area to define a treated skin area and applying a formulation comprising a biologic agent to the treated skin area.

A composition contains 2 to 6 parts by weight of at least one rhamnolipid, 1 to 4 parts by weight of at least one alkyl polyglycoside, and 1 to 3 parts by weight of at least one acyl lactylate.

A method for making a skin moisturizing formulation is provided, comprising: providing a dermatologically acceptable vehicle; selecting a skin moisturizing agent based on its ability to absorb and retain moisture, wherein the skin moisturizing agent selected is a cationic dextran polymer, comprising a dextran polymer functionalized with quaternary ammonium groups; providing the selected skin moisturizing agent; combining the dermatologically acceptable vehicle and the skin moisturizing agent to form a skin moisturizing formulation; wherein the skin moisturizing formulation contains 0.05 to 10 wt %, based on weight of the skin moisturizing formulation, of the skin moisturizing agent. Also provided is a method for moisturizing skin.

A composition including a lamellar gel phase contains a first nonionic surfactant having hydrophobic moieties respectively on both sides of a hydrophilic moiety. The first nonionic surfactant constitutes at least a portion of the lamellar gel phase. A content by percentage of higher aliphatic alcohols or higher fatty acids is 1% by mass or less relative to the mass of the composition.

Moisturizer compositions include about 1 to about 5 wt % niacinamide, about 0.5 to about 2 wt % pantothenic acid, about 0.5 to about 2 wt % pyridoxine, about 0.05 to about 1 wt % of a skin barrier enhancer, about 1 to about 10 wt % of a humectant, about 1 to about 10 wt % citric acid, about 0.1 to about 0.5 wt % an ascorbic acid salt or an ascorbic acid derivative, about 0.01 to about 0.2 wt % of a non-naturally occurring preservative, about 0.5 to about 2 wt % of a natural preservative and balance of a water:glycerin mixture, where the water:glycerin mixture has at least about 50 wt % water.
