HUB FOR RETAINING SPOKES WITH LOOPS
A hub and spoke assembly includes a hub body having a first end and a second end. Projections are on each end. The projections are spaced apart from each adjacent projection about a rotational axis of the hub. Each projection comprises a base portion joined to the hub body and a support extending from the base portion to a free end. A plurality of spokes is provided. Each spoke comprises an elongated braided fiber having a loop at a first end and a second end configured for attachment to a rim. At least one spoke is joined to each support of each projection.
Axle Assembly With Sealed Wheel End Bearings And Sealed Pinion Input Bearings
A vehicle axle assembly including an axle housing, carrier assembly, and first and second axle shafts. The axle housing is formed from an upper beam and a lower beam that are positioned in a clam-shell arrangement. The carrier assembly includes a carrier housing and a differential that includes a ring gear arranged in meshing engagement with a pinion. The first and second axle shafts extend outwardly from the differential in opposite directions. The pinion is rotatably supported by a self-lubricating cartridge pinion input bearing and the outboard ends of the first and second axle shafts are rotatably supported by self-lubricating and unitized grease wheel end bearings. These bearings do not require lubrication from oil contained inside the axle housing allowing for a reduced oil fill level in the axle housing, creating less viscous losses and better efficiency.
BICYCLE RIM MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL WITH WINGS HAVING REINFORCED STRUCTURE
A bicycle rim is made with a plurality of layered, each of which is formed of structural fibres incorporated in a polymeric material. The rim has a radially outer peripheral channel with an upper bridge extending between the wings for holding a tyre. The peripheral channel comprises an inner layered structure, extending between wings and at least one wrapping layered structure, wound on the inner layered structure at least at the end of the wings, the inner layered structure and the wrapping layered structure being included in the plurality of layered structures.
WHEEL, DRIVING WHEEL, AND WHEELCHAIR
Provided is a wheel (6a) in which a disk (62) includes a first rib (62a) extending in a radial direction, and protruding out on one side in a direction of a central axis a1. A hub (61) of the wheel (6a) includes a first blade portion (61d1) extending in the radial direction. At least one of a pair of side surfaces of the first rib (62a) is inclined relative to a plane including the central axis a1 of the disk (62), and the first blade portion (61d1) is fixed to the inclined side surface on one side of the central axis a1.
Reinforced bicycle rim
A bicycle rim assembly includes a rim defining a central plane and comprising annular inner and outer walls. The outer wall includes first and second bead seats separated by a center well. First and second annular projections are spaced laterally from each other relative to the central plane and extend substantially radially outwardly from the outer wall. Each of the annular projections includes a radially outer face and a laterally inner face. Right and left covers are spaced from each other and are preferably coupled to the rim to cover at least a portion of the laterally inner face and the radially outer face of the first and second annular projections, respectively, and also the first and second bead seats, respectively. One or both of the right and left covers can be fiber reinforced. First and second pieces of tape can be overlapped and used to secure the covers to the rim.
Vehicle wheel disc and manufacturing method of vehicle wheel disc
A vehicle wheel disc includes a flat plate-shaped hub-mounted part, a cylindrical rim-mounted part, and a hat-shaped part. The hat-shaped part includes a hat top portion, a hat inner peripheral portion, and a hat outer peripheral portion. At a border between the hub-mounted part and the hat inner peripheral portion, a first connecting portion is provided, and at a border between the hat top portion and the hat outer peripheral portion, a second connecting portion is provided. The plate thickness of the hat outer peripheral portion is smaller than the plate thickness of an intermediate portion that is a portion from a border between the first connecting portion and the hat inner peripheral portion to a border between the hat top portion and the second connecting portion in the disc radial direction.
Composite wheel
The present application provides a composite wheel, including spokes, a rim and a central disc, one end of each spoke being connected to the central disc and the other end of each spoke being connected to the rim, each spoke includes a spoke skeleton and a spoke shell, and the spoke skeleton is wrapped by the spoke shell; and the spoke shell is made of plastic, rubber, nylon or resin. The technical solution of the present application brings the beneficial technical effects of overcoming the contradiction between the pursuit of the artistic design effect of the wheel and the pursuit of the lightweight of the wheel and meeting the strength requirement of the wheel.
Hybrid wheel assembly with attachment pin
A wheel assembly for a vehicle includes a face portion and a rim portion. The face portion is formed from an alloy and defines a plurality of spokes extending radially outwardly between a central portion and a proximal bead element. The rim portion is formed of a composite material that defines an annular wall extending between the proximal bead element and a distal bead element. The face portion defines a mating member that is disposed in mating engagement with a rim seat defined by the rim portion. The mating member and the rim seat define a receptor for receiving a pin with said pin including shear resistors oriented to counteract shear forces F between said face portion and the rim portion.
WHEEL HUB AND WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY COMPRISING THE SAME
A wheel hub includes an inner hub part made of a first material and comprising a central portion formed to protrude in an axially inward direction and a flange portion formed to extend in a radially outward direction from the central portion; and an outer hub part made of a second material, which is lower in strength and lighter in weight than the first material, and configured to be integrally coupled with the inner hub part. The flange portion comprises a plurality of main extended portions in which a plurality of fastening holes are formed to penetrate in an axial direction while being arranged to be spaced apart from each other along a circumferential direction so that a wheel is mounted to the flange portion. The plurality of main extended portions are formed to extend along a plurality of virtual extension reference lines which extend in the radially outward direction.
Wheel with Flexible Wide-Body Spokes
A wheel with flexible spokes, including a rim and hub, and spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The spokes are also flexible and resilient such that they can bend while retaining their integrity and strength.
